I am in North Fort Worth and willing to meet at a city park to let the kids play. My son is 6 years old. We usually have freinds from school come over about once a week but, he is getting "only child syndrome". He is always bored.

Hey, just saw your e-mail. I just moved to Keller and did not have internet until a few weeks ago. Still doing lots of stuff to the new house. I quit my job to became a stay at home dad so my wife could travel freely with her career. Sometimes she is out of town 5 to 20 days a month and we thought one of us should be totaly focused on our son. For a while we both worked so much that we only saw him when we were tired. I have been doing this for about a year now and it is working out pretty well. I was glad to see that reading the bible was one of your hobbies. Which church do you go to? We go to Harvest sometimes and other times we go to Richland Hills Church of Christ. As long as we hear the word that's all that matters. My son is in first grade now so I have time to take on projects around the house with some focus as long as I am not thinking about cleaning it again. I am working on making display cases for all my son's toys so that there are no more toy boxes in his room. Everything will have it's place. I have noticed he cannot find toys in the toy boxes and they take up floor space that he could be playing on. Enough about me.

Hello Chris,
Keller's not far from me at all. It's cool that you build stuff aorund the house. I'm not much of a handyman. I've been a SAHD since November when my wife went back to work. I was layed off in August. I have 2 children. A daughter, who is 81/2 and a son who is 5. He'' start school in August. It has been an adjustment trying to do everything my wife did. Just about impossible. Wonder Woman went to work and Superman stayed home. LOL.
Do I take it that your a Christian? I'm a born again Christian for 6 years. The only way I made it though being layed off is having the Good Lord in my corner. It's been tough. A major blow to the ego and the old self-esteem was'nt to high to being with. But I'm back up and in the fight. What does not kill you only makes you stronger.
My son is climbing the wall wanting to play with someone else. All the kids his age, or near his age, are girls. He's quite the ladies man at 5. 8)
Oh, one more thing, We're members of Glenview Baptist Church, off of 820 in Haltom City. Beem going there for 6 years. Great church, wonderful childrens ministry. Shout back, when you have time.
