Going to give them a shot. They look very easy to make, my question is do I need to use brisket? Will london broil do? I got about 10 lbs of london broil and wanted to know if it could be substituted.

I don't see why you couldn't. Tamales can be stuffed with whatever you want/have on hand...Good luck....They are pretty simple to make. I should make some this week. Wonder if the kids will eat them again...

My local store does not carry the corn hush or corn meal for tamales so I had to order them online.

Masa works really well for tamales i use it for tortillas as well. corn husks can be found at your local health food store im not sure why but i always find them there. however if you use Masa add a litte oil so it gains some elastiscity.

And yes Maddox you can stuff them with anything you like. I like blackbean and corn but i am sure any meat you wanted to use would work.
