OK, not quite the level of fame as Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Billy Mays Here!, or Ed McMahon, but this guy was one of the best at what he did. My dad and I would watch all the top fights back in the day, and this guy was great.

51. And Ill probably still have hair on my head then, which is more than what you can say NOW!

I was 8yo when Arguello was the champ. I was fetching Old Styles for my dad and his buddies, hanging out with the men.

Add Karl Malden to the list of dead celebrities. Remember "Streets of San Francisco"? I loved that show. That and I remember Alexis Arguello too. Add me to the list of old guys...

55 for me. Like hell if I wanted kids in my early 20's -- too much livin' to do to!!!

Adding to the list, some other older folks may remember this impressionist who died a few days ago.... http://www.newsday.com/entertainment/news/celebrity/ny-litrav3012930293jun29,0,2823945.story

Who has money when they are in their early 20's? By the time the kids are 15 wifey should be making major coin and we can go where we like.

I'm with Silvio...I had a hell of a time. Just needed enough money for beer and rent...living in Burlington VT was like being on vacation anyway.

I do envy your "early retirement" though. I can see the benefits of both approaches.

Edit: And I'll be 55 when the boy graduates high school. No regrets at all.

You need money to have fun? Huh. Go figure.

I'll be 55 when the boy is 18. I had a lot of 'life experiences' in my 20s and am glad I didn't become a dad back then. I definitely wasn't ready.

Like NC eh. LOL.

I'll be 48 when oldest is 18 and 52 when baby girl is 18. Hopefully we are rolling in it by then. Life would be great.

The trick to being old is to embrace it and enjoy it and all will be good. 46 here and liking the excuses I can use.
I love that intro to WWoS. My late grandparents were close friends with the cliff diver.
