Pure class! Rolland, I'm sorry, but that just made my night. I am so not a morning person. I hope some day I can find the motivation. In all seriousness, that is admirable. I just couldn't do it. (Like I couldn't jog over 2 miles a year ago. I never say never...)

Im not really a morning person either, but when the kids are out of school and it is about 1000 degrees here in Texas. Morning is the best time to run. I run at night durring the school year after the kids are in bed and when it is cooler. My wife works late quite a bit so I really have no choice(sometimes to early morning hours). One good thing is, she works from home so I don't have to worry about her driving home tired.

I agree, I like to run at 4:30 am. It's easier to start the day on a run then to end it. Besides, it'll be dark when you start, but it will get lighter and usually end up with the sun peeking over the horizon.
At night it just gets darker and darker and is much more dangerous.
I like to run midmorning. Take the kids to the gym and get some babysitting done while I can thump down the treadmill. Then I like to take a steam and shower after that.
Mmm, the steam room feels really good after the jog.

If I'm running at 4:30am, odds have to be pretty good that has to be some pissed off drunk I'm running from. :icon_lol:

Your gym has a steam room? I wish mine did. My gym is pretty budget. But what do you expect from the YMCA.
Yeah, we've got a steam room right in the lockerroom and a sauna out in the pool area. Hot tub out there too. Lifetime Fitness. Same cost as a family membership at the Y and the facilities are MUCH nicer and much closer to our house.

I use to train with Team in Training and they had a deal with Lifetime that we could use thier restrooms on our training days. I would go in there and would just be in awe of how nice it was. There is an LA Fitness not too far by, but I am really good friends with the fitness director and general manager at the Y and know just about everyone there. I am going to become a trainer in Oct and my friend told me she knows the the fitness directer at LA Fitness so I may check that place out also. I am sure they will pay more then the Y.
