Anyone have any experience cleaning one of these Mac mouses (mice?). That little tiny scrolling ball is choking up and I'm not sure how to deal with it. Anyone? :tusk:

Never mind, I just had some 10-year-old kid on Youtube show me how. Why is it always children who have these answers? Anyway, all good.

Was it the rolling it upside down on a piece of paper?
That works really well, but be careful how hard you press. I accidentally pressed to hard and created a flat spot on the ball.
And it's mostly dead skin cells that get trapped down underneath the ball.

Amazingly enough, yes it does. And I have gotten some nastyness outta mine.

Nice. I guess I'll try mine. It's been sticking on scrolling down, but goes up great. Thanks.

That's the sign.
Basically grab a fresh sheet of paper from the printer, hold your mouse upside down with the middle roller depressed and move it around.
As I said, don't do it too hard or you will create a flat spot.
but it will help the scroll problem.

Seems to have worked. SWEET. It has been a PITA having to use the scroll bar on the right like a moron.

I'd say I have it running at about 70% capacity. Maybe 75. I'll keep doing it every day or two until it works fully again. I'm just glad I can scroll again.

+1. I haven't used a mouse with a roller for years.

You simpletons and PC owners. All in the same. Ha ha ha. They are laser mice, but we are talking about the scroll wheel on the "MIGHTY MOUSE". It's a MAC thing. You wouldn't understand.
LOL.
BTW....I don't know what I did, but I am at full capacity of operation. 100 percent baby. Thanks again for this thread. These last two posts have made my night. :icon_wink:

Haha I was thinking the same thing! "Get a Laser". Now you made me wonder about Mac mice. I'll have to check one to see what you were talking about. I love it when kids 10 or younger are much more than we did when we were that age....
