View Full Version : Diaper Brands Update
I think we've settled on huggies supreme for her 'till she's potty trained. After getting the larger size they are holding better and she seems really comfortable.

we used to use ht ehuggies supreme or the ultra trim (i think thats what they were)
but we didnt like how they fit. they seemed smaller then huggies at the same size. So we switched to some huggies one. they fit better and she stay's dry all night. well as long as she keeps the diaper on that is.

We finally settled on huggies supreme also with our middle child(now 8)mainly because the side tabs are velcro and not tape. The tape sticks to skin as well as the diaper and that got noisy with all the screaming and such. With our newest addition(10 months)we went right back to huggies supreme, 1 leak so far so were happy. As far as price, I just think of the money saved on soap from washing dirty sheets , clothes etc.. from not having leaks anymore not to mention not having to buy as much tylenol from the side effects of the tape .
Well, it works for us anyway, ymmv.

Thats funny, I was just thinking the same thing when I was changing her today... at least I'm doing a little less laundry... That day with three outfit changes was just too much :?

Sam's Club sells huggies, we use them now. Buy them in bulk and save a little cash.
Did you figure out how much you were actually saving though? Last time I was in the sams here (roughly 17months ago ;) ) their price per diaper was two cents more then at walmart for the same brand and style. Crazy 'cuz its the same company, I know, but ... pays to carry a calculator with you sometimes, or palm, or cell as the case may be
I think with some items, they figure everyone thinks bulk is cheaper so they'll bump it up a bit, and no one will notice.
We use All free clear for detergent, and the 100oz container is cheaper per ounce then the 300oz almost across the board where we've checked.
Just something to keep in mind...

I know Sam's is not always cheaper. But usually I buy diapers at the grocery store and it beats their price, just easier that way. Sam's used to carry a great generic brand that was very cheap but they no longer stock it.
Walmart may be cheaper but we rarely go. I do go out of my way to buy formula at Target. $5 cheaper than anywhere else, that was til walmart lowered their price. But since I like Target more, we but at Target. Their diapers are about the same as grocery stores.
Did any of you register at the formula and diaper manufacturer sites? I know my wife hit a bunch of them and we received lots of coupons.
Val registered under two different spellings of her maiden name! We can easily sort junk calls/mail from legit that way.
Our phone is still in her maiden name for just that reason as well. Telemarketers, hmph

My wife works in a pediatric office, and we get all of our formula for free. That really saves us alot of money. Enfamil w/lipil. we have a stockpile of it in the cabinet now.
