OK here are 5 signs that prove you need to get out more:

1) You don't know a single song on MTV's Video Music Awards...

2) ...and yet you sing all the words to "Elmo's Song," "The Wheels on the Bus," and "Puff the Magic Dragon."

3) You realize that the best birthday gift you can get is an uninterrupted bath or a walk.

4) You find yourself glued to the Dora the Explorer Pirate Adventure video long after your kids have left the room.

5) You publicly drink from a juice box!!!

Hey, I like puff the magic dragon, I get all teary eyed, "A dragon lives forever but not so little boys, ........ jackie paper came no more, And puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar, His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain, Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane, Without his life-long friend, puff could not be brave, So puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave. oh!"..... luckily I don't let my daughter watch Dora, now if it was the Heffalump Movie, that would be a different story

LOL!! this is VERY funny! the juicebox thing... that's me! haha!!

i have to admit though, while my kids enjoy the typical kids songs, i have trained them well into the world of music (being a musician). just recently, my four year old learned the first verse to the song IRON MAN. he's big into superheroes, so I told him the song was about the superhero "iron man." now, he goes around singing Black Sabbath.

man, do i love my kids! hehe

Thanks Rem
"We're sailing to treasure Island, we're on a pirate adventure, we're sailing to treasure island, we can do it all together..."
"BOOM, give us back our treasure! BOOM give us back our treasure!"

over and over in my head now, thanks for mentioning that. :P

I haven't listened to a radio in so long (I get all of my music from indie labels on emusic.com), I have no idea what's considered cool these days.

Hey, Dan,

If you haven't done so already, check out <epitonic.com> (great, great indie musc site that hasn't, unfortunately, been updated in quite some time, but is still quite impressive) and <pitchforkmedia.com> which contains some of the best writing about the indie music seen that I've come across. Also has a great download section . . .

It's from something like 2AM to 6AM I think. Usually as I'm finishing up work for pay as opposed to the rewarding work of taking care of my son.

Henry hasn't found the joys of television yet (except when we're watching it) so I'll be safe from that for a little bit longer. He does listen to the radio all day with me (Country music seems to have the least amount of offensive lyrics and themes to it but to each his own).

Of course he's at the point where he's noticing other babies and trying to talk to them (OK screech and whistle and chirp like R2D2 on speed)... he was spellbound by the TLC special on sextuplets (I can barely keep up with 1- I couldn't even imagine what 6 would be like). He stood in his playyard for 1/2 hour staring at the tv...
