Hey all
Just checking to see what peoples opinion are on the matter....it's probably time to seriously start the discussion and pick as to where & when.
Woody has graciously played host the past two years, and his place is rock solid for such an event. 57Plymouth has thrown his hat into the ring for this year....at least he did awhile ago, dunno if the offer is still out there.
Quite honestly my attendance this year is more than likely doubtful, due to the cost of school this year, but I'd still like to keep it on the radar and keep my eyes out for dirt cheap airfare....you know, just in case. :eusa_whistle:
So lets open up the floor and start some discussion here.....

If it's at your house, I'm there :)
Looks like I'll be a WAHD starting early next week, not sure if it's too early to say but "I'm back biiiaaatches"

Ditto!! I'm not sure I could swing much farther than that (although a Dadstock Caribbean would be tempting :icon_lol:).

Well, seeing as you're the owner and we're all of your bitches I'd say it's not too early motherf*cker

Yeah, just have it at your place, CT -- no travel costs involved! :icon_lol:
I'm up for it if that weekend isn't already filled up.

I'd like to see those machine gun jugglies in person too. :chugchug:
The east coast would be a nice swing for me. SC is fine too, but you know cat boy......
Hey, there's always MN...
Yeah, like that would happen. :icon_lol:

Hey, what about Thompson, MB?? Paradise . . . in the summer (both days).

I have been thinking about this for a while. With school here the time is actually more the thing. There is no way I can travel since all my funds are tied up in school. If we do something out this way like at Woodchuck Acres I would not be there until Saturday Late Afternoon...

Since I'll be working this summer it looks like a long shot for me.
Maybe with my absence the rest of you can get a word in. :eusa_whistle:

My place is still an option. But, it's already hot here. If y'all want to come, and you are welcome to, it should be closer to Fall.

Um. I think it should be in Thompson just for that! Plus, we'd need excuses to leave bars there WITHOUT getting in fights.

I'd like to go just to do some camping without the kids, but doubt I'll be able to. So what's the story is Woody having something this year, the past few years hasn't there been a east coast and a midwest get together?

No shirt, no shoes, no problem!

Yeah, Jeffb has hosted 2 here in CT...one in the winter and one in the summer (or was it Fall?).
Sao - camping without the kids is an awesome idea. My wife asked the other day what I wanted for father's day and for my birthday...since money is pretty tight, I just said a weekend of camping/hiking solo (at least without the kids...I want to do some HIKING not path-walking. :icon_lol:).

Was looking forward to cooking up some island food;curried goat, grilled iguanas, oxtail soup and kalaloo.(when in Rome...) Was gonna share my rum too. Future ref: boss said I can host. We'll get a big revival tent, put it on the back lawn. Would still have room for a game of cricket. Flights are cheaper June-Nov. Cause it's frigging hot! Also coincides with hurricane season. We were spared last summer. Had one go north of us.
Well more rum for me!
Keep me in mind. Oh- ain't no first class on a seaplane.(Sorry SAO):pint:
Cheers!

Camping would be a fun thing and that way nobody has to cleanup their house ect.

St.Croix, Deh big island. Can't believe so many want to "dastock" on the mainland.
More rum for me. Stop by when you get here in Feb. Have your people call my people and we'll do lunch.
Cheers, Jeff

I'd love to go to Dadstock again, I might even be able to get permission again! Wife said I could host here in North Idaho, but I ain't got the kinda spread Woodchuck has, not by a longshot. I'll prolly be in Pennsylvania in early September, if I could dovetail that with Dadstock somewhere, that'd be ideal. If no Dadstock, maybe we can organize a meet up over steak and beer somewhere?
:pint: :chugchug: :pint:
I know y'all have just been waiting for me to weigh in on this topic, now that you know I might be there, let the mad rush to sign up begin!

I could make it to PA in September. At this point, all weekends seem to be open.

I'd need to know dates more than likely before I could say yay or nay. The wife isn't completely adverse to me getting away with a bunch of other SAHD's, so that's always a plus.

So we've got:
Woody's (WI)
57P's (SC)
Irie Jeffs (St Croix) or......
Where in PA you gonna be, Frogman?

I'll be in the Philly area for a wedding the first weekend of September, I don't think I'd be able to host anywhere around there, but from there, I'd be willing to drive several hours in any direction for a cold beer.
:pint:
FWIW- Alternatively, and/or additionally, I'd prolly be able to make it to SC or ???, given enough notice,

Okay, WI is off the table, so our updated list of places available for hosting digs:
57P's (SC)
Irie Jeffs (St Croix)
...unless there are other ideas/suggestions/offfers.

SC would be warm and golf would be great down there! If I had more room and not so many kids I'd say here. LOL. My lot is only .26 acres though with families with kids at every house.

Same here, but even less space.
Maybe earlier next year I'll suggest a gathering here at the park up the street. Water and power hookups, cheap rates, next to the river and easy access to necessities. They close down in August for the Johnny Appleseed Festival and stay closed for the rest of the year.

I'm prolly out if it's September or October. Already have a week at Disney starting Labor Day, then my parents are coming up mid-October.
