change in diapers and sleeping (14 months)

Hello fellow dads,

I have a 14 month old son who has had a change in a couple of things. For one, (sorry for the topic) he has gone from one messy diaper to maybe 4 -5 a day. They tend to get small and runny as the day goes on. Next he has been waking up at night whining and the only way I can get him to go back down is with the bottle. Both of these have been going on for a week and a half. He is not dehydrated. He is eating fine. He is still in a good mood. Does this have anything to do with his molars coming in? They are popping through now. A few weeks ago we went to the Dominican Republic for few days and are now in Puerto Rico for 3 weeks. Do you think it has to do with restaurant food? Or staying in a hotel? Well, thanks for your help. I am perplexed.

4-5 a day sounds like alot to me, if it continues for more than a few days I'd take him to the pediatrician just to be safe I think

Very pleasant happy baby but thin watery BM's (for a while it seemed like 1 an hour).

But not dehydrated. But from all of the extra "activity" he developed diaper rash too! Lots of Balmex and Cornstarch powder for a day or two.

Gave him some extra Rice Cereal and Bananas and Apples (NOT apple juice).

It took about a week to get back to normal and he's been fine since and the top teeth should be breaking through any day now.

I can't imagine trying to cope with this on the road.
