Hi all. I stumbled onto this site this past spring as my wife and I were discussing the whole SAHD thing. While I've never posted anything, I did check back from time to time.

After being married for over 16 years, we were finally blessed with a little girl last November. This is my first week as a full time SAHD. It took a little time to get rid of the job, but I think I'm really going to enjoy this. Parenting is very new to me, so I'm sure that I'll be checking back often. Thanks for the opportunity to be in touch with so many SAHDs.

P.S. How did you guys get the little pics of your kids on your posts? :?:

Welcome... Number Three on the way here...

 To do the pictures you need to have the photos hosted online somewhere. I use for my posts http://static.xs.to/images/spreadxs/button1.gif (http://xs.to) IT'S FREE

You upload the picture onto the site and then copy and paste the link into the Avaitar box at the bottom of the profile. Adding to the front and to the back... EXAMPLE yourlinkhere

I also did the same thing in my signature line. See below.

Welcome again...

Welcome! This site will give you many friends in the trenches and keep you intouch when you feel alone from the world. Winter is comming and to me that is the hardest season to be a SAHD.
16 yrs of marrage and know kids yet untill now, you must be a worrier.

Welcome to the boards! I'm new myself.

I stayed in Goshen, IN years ago when I went to see my alma mater Rutgers play Notre Dame in Lou Holtz' final game as head coach. What a memory!

It was great to check back and find all the welcomes! Thanks all.

Darth, I'm still working on that picture thing. I've tried it a couple of times. May have to have a friend of mine who knows more about computers than I do to walk me through it. Anything specific I need to know about the image hosting site?

JustinP, I know that it's really tough to get a room around here when ND is playing a home game. Hope you had a great time. Did you guys win?....lol

Uh...no...RU didn't win.

It was a great time, though. We've been out to see ND twice, the more recent time we stayed in Chicago as part of an alumni trip and bused down to South Bend. Both times are a lot of fun and it was cool having the smaller town experience in Goshen.
