Around here, being Gator country there is some optimism, even if UF is over-rated as a 2 seed. That said, I think OSU-Kansas is still my thoughts for a natl champ game, although I would love to see Duke-OSU in one semifinal.

I watched the BYU-Gonzaga game last night and holy cow, that Jimmer Fredette is unconscious sometimes with those threes!

I must say I have watched more basketball in the last 3 days than I did all season. Great games for the most part and its great having every game on tv. One more night, out with the guys for wings, beer, and the last few games.

not really, I pull for them in football. Actually root for ODU during basketball season. Live about 15 minutes from there and spent 2 years there.

I was in New Orleans last year when ODU beat Notre Dame and then gave Baylor a pretty good fight. ODU had great fans at the game.

Am actually headed to New Orleans this week again for the Thursday and Saturday games. Wife was gone all last week so she gave me a boys weekend pass. Going with the same buddies I went with last year. Looking forward to UF-BYU. Wisconsin-Butler should also be good.

I'll admit i'm a huge Duke fan(for basketball) and was more than impressed with Arizona's 1 man show ,but i'm also a really huge fan of Gators football,so naturally if the gators B-ball team is in the race i'm rooting for em:icon_wink:

Marks a fan of pretty much everywhere. :icon_lol: He'll be moving to North Dakota soon and he'll surely be a fan of North Dakota State. Anyways....as you know I'm an NC State fan. That's my team. I'll still support the local teams as Carolina and Duke are in my backyard. As well they are ACC teams and we support our conference. So I am a State fan for both Football and NCAAM. Not so much in any other sports. Don't care as I don't watch.

We shall see tonight if Roy can get his boys to step up. I think Butler last night was the big story. Can't not like them.

I agree with Butler, though it wasn't the prettiest game to watch. As a VA guy I will be rooting hard for VCU and Richmond tonight.

I have to think that both of those teams will lose tonight. If I was a betting man I'd bet against them. I know you have to support the local teams though. Just my opinion. FSU is a pretty good ACC team. The ever feared Richmond Spiders in all likelihood won't fair too well against Kansas either. Enjoy the games. I'll be watching what I can.

I expect Richmond to get blown out, Kansas is huge upfront and looked really good last weekend. VCU on the other is a push, FSU is streaky and VCU is rolling right now.

Was at the Sweet 16 in NO for Thurs/Sat games. Just got back home today (to a sick wife and kid, ugh, but anyway, I digress)... can't say enough how impressed I am with Butler. First off, UF should have won that game with size alone, but man, the Butler guys hustle after everything... there is never any bitching at each other (which I saw plenty of with UF) and they never quit. It was an amazing game to be at - hard not to appreciate the teamwork.

We have a pretty large number of Butler grads at church. I think almost all of them are over 60. But they are so proud. But the gymnasium on campus holds the vast majority of Indiana Basketball memories. I'm told I should visit it. I assume I should watch Hoosiers first, though.

Yawn. Worst game ever. I nearly fell asleep in the first half. Bruins VS rangers was more interesting. Actually watched some Eastenders on PBS.

Now to see who NC State gets as a head coach.

Pretty close to it.....i was looking forward to last night after Saturdays games ,but what a let down.....neither team played well,,,had they played that way in the first round they'd be done

Neither of those teams are in the top 10 in best teams in the Country. Not close. It's just the type of tournament where you only need to win 1 game and move on. If they play any of those teams they beat in a best of 3 or 5 they would likely lose. The teams they played didn't play well on those given days. It happens. Just like UCONN last night. They stank up the joint nearly as much as Butler did. They were dreadful. They had 1 shining star. On paper they were the favorite by 40 points with a much stronger team, but Butler at least kept it close in the first 1/2. What did they shoot??? 2 2-pointers the whole game? That is amazing. At least hockey playoffs are starting soon.

Overall March madness was quite good in the earlier rounds . Lots of games coming down to the last possession. Good entertainment. Love the Cinderella stories. VCU was great. Butler, an 8th seed, getting to the finals in back-to-back years was amazing. Just wish they didn't tank. Had they played like they did earlier in the tourney they win easily.

Thank God it's over. I really hate the month of March.

I dunno. I never got into basketball. It's pretty repetitive to me. Shoot, rebound, jog across the court, try to find an opportunity to shoot, rebound, repeat. Whoever misses their shot falls behind. The penalties really baffle me too, otherwise it'd be like hockey - only slower.
