Good place to talk about what is going to happen in the off season and for people to post stories!

Any ideas of what teams are going to do???

I did not read that whole piece. Do they even have a name for the team yet. I say go back with the Jets!

I also hope the "Canes take Jagr out of retirement. HF would be cringing!! Not likely to happen though. Rangers need help desperately on the power play.

I know you guys love the Pens, but here goes:

- Evgani Malkin is back on the ice and skating in Russia.
- Crosby had a setback while the Pens were still in the first round. Word is that he's back to his usual summertime workout routine.
- GM Ray Shero signed free agents Craig Adams and Ryan Craig and the word is that they're out of money so Pascal Dupuis and Maxime Talbot and Mike Rupp are likely to be playing elsewhere.
- yes, word is that Jaromir Jagr is considering on playing with the Penguins and there are rumors that somebody in the Penguins organization is interested. My question is "are they f##king serious?" :twak:

First NHL game I saw was the Jets VS the Bruins. Met Dave Babych during that trip too.

No chance of the Canes picking up that Eurotrash.

Uh oh. Looks like there's serious talk of Jagr coming back to Pittsburgh and Max Talbot turned down on offer in order to go on the market.

Flyboys get rid of Richards and Carter. What was that about?

they can have jagoff. He's a head case anyway. The Flyers are actually less competitive now for signing him. I'm really disappointed about Talbot though. Pens GM Ray Shero offered him a 3 year deal but Max passed on it and took a 5 year/$9 mil deal with one the Pens' 2 biggest division rivals instead.

Sabres were a bit busier than they normally would be at the start of free agent season. They have a solid Defense on paper now, just need a true scorer now and I like their shot at a cup in the near future :icon_razz:

With Lindy Ruff? The guys act is getting old.

A lot of that is because Lindy coached for people who had the purse strings pulled tighter than a frogs a$$.

He now won't have that excuse as the new owner has been pouring the cash in to the team. Should be interesting to see if it actually gets them anywhere or not, but i have liked their signings for the most part thus far.

Rangers make a pretty good signing. They should get 2-3 good years out of this guy then send him out to pasture for the last 6 seasons in true Ranger fashion.

Bye-bye Chris.

Not too surprised; he barely played last season and is getting kind of old for that position. Howard did a good job for us; hopefully keeps it up!

LOL! I just read some of the comments at the bottom. You know, it kinda does look like a milk can! It didn't look quite right before the fall either. Look at the brim of the cup - it ain't quite perfectly round.

But financed in the U.S.A. With those worthless greenbacks!!

Don't worry. A few hundred CDN dollars, or as we like to call it, an average Americans yearly salary, and she'll be as good as new. Stupid X Bruin. :ban:

Newfies are just funny.

Yup. It was recently reported that he was still experiencing "concussion-related symptoms" during his summer workouts. Nothing more specific than that. The only thing significant about this news is that Crosby himself has made the statement, not Pens' GM Ray Shero and that it was "headaches" and not the general terms of "symptoms". The haters are probably saying he's just being a p#ssy as usual though.

He is not a P^ssy but I would say he is stupid to return to action if he feels he has head problems. But it sounds like he has enough sense left to seek other opinions. Good for him and hope he returns again. A great player and competitor.

Sid "Cry baby" Crosby said no timeline for return, but will play this season. I saw a box of tissue next to him during the interview....Thought that was strange!

KHL family and friends are in my thoughts....So sad!

A tragic story indeed in Russia. In a related story, many NY Ranger blogs are now reporting that NY Islanders owner, Charles Wang, has ordered a Yak-42 jet from Russia for his team's travel for the upcoming 2011-2012 season.
