A call for a design

reminds me of "request for proposals" from my biology days....
Anyway, whom among you has the creativity and wherewithal to produce an image or logo for a business card sized piece of handoutable material? Displayed promenently DadStaysHome.com along with words indicating an invitation to join the forum.
The goal is for each of us to print off a few, and carry them with us, on the chance we run into another SAHD or someone who knows one (which happens more often for me.. "hey, you're a sahd, huh? ya know, my brothers cousin's second wifes third dog owner is a sahd too")
SO... gentlemen the gauntlet has been thrown, any takers?

All this of course pending the approval of Don, who's site this is. And hopefully we can get better spelling than what I've accomplished in this post :oops:

It just came to mind again 'cuz there was a dad at story time at the library this morning, and it would have been cool if I could have just given him a card. As it is, I'll see if he shows up next week and strike up more conversation...

Ya know, I'm not.... or at least I wasn't... but I've never been good at actually introducing myself. Heck, I went three semesters chatting with a group of folks in college without really knowing their names!

I think you are on a good track tony, I am not very computer savy, but I will try and show you my ideas, and hopefully others will too, then maybe we can vote on the winning design and then we all can print out our cards and hand them out.

Remember that chick flick "chasing liberty" that hippie dude that was always handing out those stickers, just to see if he ever found any again. kinda the same idea.

I like both of them don, I am going to print off 20 or so of each and hand them out, that is as long as everyone doesnt want a uniform card that we all have. Would you guys rather vote on a design, or just post them and we all can use a variety of them???

Glad you like them. I am not sure how the text will print on a small card though. I might have to tweak that part, make the URL as easy to read as possible.

I like the idea of handing out cards to promote the site. I would think that if we could come up with 4 or 5 designs that everyone agrees on, and then you can just print out the ones that suit your tastes, or that suits the taste of the person you're giving it to. You could also format it so that it can be printed out as a flyer, and post it on a bulletin board at the library/zoo etc. We have a magazine here called metro parent that advertises in the back for parent groups and such. That also might be an avenue worth exploring as long as it's inexpensive.
