We just moved to Morristown a few months back. Just getting to know the geography... where are you at?

Oddly, there are 2 Morristown's in New Jersey.....one in Morris County and one in Middlesex County. Which one are you?
I am in Hawthorne, which is up by Ridgewood and Paterson and Paramus. If you are familiar with Rt 287, I'm north on 287 to Rt 208.
I actually just moved to North Jersey as well, although I grew up down in the Princeton area. So my geography is a little underwhelming as well.

I'm in the Morris County Morristown. So according to Yahoo Maps, Hawthorne is about 45 minutes away. Are we the only two in Northern NJ?

As far as I can tell so far, yes.
I have about two more months of full time corporate life and then I'll be jumping into the SAHD pool. I'm not sure if anything has been established for a NNJ playgroup but I would definitely be interested in trying to get something together come November. I live in Dumont, which is close to Hawthorne but I'm not opposed to driving. My son, Sal, will be 3 months old in one week.
Looking forward to discussing further.

I came across these folks a while ago. If they aren't in your area they might have some contacts for you.

Good luck!

Is this group still active???

I don't think so. If they are, they haven't updated their website in at least 3 years.
You might try MeetUp.com or Yahoo Groups(?) to find more Dad's in your area. If there isn't a group you can start one of your own...I'm doing a meetup group for Dads in Lakewood, but no one ever comes ..... HoHum..
I live in Bayville (for lack of a better landmark, I'll use Seaside Heights/Toms River area), so if you ever want to go to the beach with the kinders, I'm up for being your South Jersey guide.... :D

Hi all-
I am a producer at ABC News looking for a couple at home dads to talk to about a story we are doing on the subject.
If anyone is interested or knows someone who may be interested in talking to us, please contact me at either 212-456-3555 or cheryl.a.gendron@abc.com
Thanks so much for your help.

Is there a group in the Northeastern corner of PA (Stroudsburg) or Northern NJ. I'd be willing to drive into Jersey and also willing to host some outings in PA. SAHD to a 4 yr old and 18 month old.

Holly RUDE!
Isn't that like illegal? Spamming or Flamming with Pornographic images.
Even if it is not lets track him down and cause him trouble anyway! his IP address should show up. Find a tect savy person to track him down.
Grrrrrrr

Guys, something like that happens again PM both Don and I right away, whoever gets to it first will can it. All I can do is edit/move/remove posts, but Don can get his IP, track 'im down and then ban him. If any of you are interested in his ip once Don gets it, let him know.
If I had been thinking better I would have just edited it to remove the pic, but it was... um... right here in the kitchen with my daughter and inlaws walking around and the like, so, DELETE.
Peace guys, he'll be gone the second Don logs on.

Jesus was banned and no one can ever use that screen name again. I don't think I can get the IP cause the message was already deleted and that has the button for obtaining the IP. I'll snoop around but chances are it could be a bot that just hits everyboard it can find.
I don't know, man, it had text along the lines of "play with this" in the playgroups section?
My bad on the deleting it, sorry, sort of...

I have been seeing some other spam type posts that look bot related, using the sportswriting screen name. I am glad you deleted the post :) I did not see it which is probably a good thing :)

I may be moving from Long Island to the Union/Morris County area, so I may not be all that far from Bergen!

We're definitely a go on the move and looking in Morris County. I'm looking forward to getting back to NJ although Suffolk County NY is quite cool.
PS: The Rutgers Scarlet Knights looked pretty good in the Insight Bowl!!!

Suffolk cool? lol god i can't wait to leave NYC. Went to the mall yesterday and everything I hated about this area was there in spades. If i could sum up what I hate about this whole area...i can say this. Sit in Roosevelt field on a busy day and you will see every single reason why not to live in this area.

I'm in Morristown, and really like the area. Close enough to the city (one hour by train) but right on the edge of country. Nice restaurants, lots of parks, friendly people.

I long for some peace and quiet, to get away from the city. 31 years in this town has surely played a number on my mood and general being.
