Last weekends project AGAIN (Pics, dialup beware)

You would think I'd have the sense to take the pictures from the same place so you have perspective, but hey what the heck.
The object is to take out the old closet and dog room and build an office in its place...
Here is a wall and part of the dog room that came out

Getting the firring strips up to both hold the insulation and allow for screwing in sheetrock

Got some of the new wall up... if you look on the floor there is some red paint by my shoe in one of them, thats where the old wall used to be...

And a pic of my Father-in-law behind the wall frame. Without him I'd still be looking at a blank cement corner in the basement! (Val's peaking out over his shoulder too ;) )

We've got the wiring done except for the lights.. haven't decided where to put them yet. I'm going to be running cat5 for phone and calling the cable company to move the jack for that too... getting exciting!
More progress as it develops!

Did you take out a permit?
Dog room eh;got a dog licence? does he have his shots?you look like a free range type of guy.

Who is that heavy set blue colar guy? he don't look like family to me.
Are you paying him under the table? Is he paying his taxes or did you recruit him from the under ground econemy.
Where is his hard hat ?
Where are your saftey boots? Glasses?
did you fur that wall out with 3/4" strapping?
Did you take into account the insulation? how about a vapour barier?
Is that construction grade lumber?
Why are you holding that 2"x4" upside.... down?
Will enough light shine thru that north east window ? whith that little porch deck ubscuring It?
Where on god's earth did you get those shorts?can you say"FRUMPY"?
Do you cut your own hair? beard?

I garunf**kin' T the work we're doing is 100% better then what we're tearing out. Ooh, I could answer the rest, but hey...

Oh, and just for the record, my wife cuts my hair, if I'd do it, there wouldn't be anything there! :roll:
