just saying hi from indiana......i stay at home with my 2 boys, age 1 and 2 well technically ages 1.8 and 2.5.....wanted to say hi and see if anyone else is going through potty training.......your kid that is - hopefully you've mastered it by now.....
welcome.
Check the advice section, theres a really long thread in there about potty training. Lots of us going through it!
We're trying to potty train our 2 year old right now. Mixed results so far. She knows what it is, she knows what to do, but doesn't bother to let you know when she needs to go. You can ask her if she needs to go, and she'll tell you no. Five minutes later she's dirty.

Welcome to the Forum!!
Interesting name to adopt for a SAHD forum. I'm assuming you're a drug rep with a pharmaceutical company? :) My brother is a DM with TAP and we make that joke all the time about him "pushing his wares".
I always pursued the potty training a bit more aggressively in the summer time. The reason being that, we were outside most of the time and I used the time to train while minimizing clean-up. We're outside, remember? I just made it fun! I had a small figurine lawn sprinkler of a rabbit that I called "Pee Bunny". Every time my boy had to go he would simple drop trou' and douse the rabbit. I figured it was building that mind-body connection between having to go and having a place to go do it.
Didn't need to do it so much with the girls. Kids that come after tend to mimic and pick up things from siblings that have gone before. If "big bro" is sitting on the toilet and getting praise then it must be good for me too.
My sister just had her 6th, her first girl. She told me she used chocolate chips as a reward for proper potty. Every time they had a bowel movement they got a chip or two. Turns out, they were so eager to go that she had to cut them back. She made a rule that the stool needed to be BIGGER than a chocolate chip to get one in return!! LMAO
