Well, my wife told that my 14 month woke with a full diaper this morning(#1), so much so that her clothes were soaked. Since I've got the afternoon shift, which usually involves the park, library, etc., I try to keep her hydrated with the h20.....but limited a couple of hours before bed.

As she gets older, once she goes down for the night, will nighttime diaper changes become commonplace?(Please don't tell me 2am er's are in my future) #-o

Even up here I keep Tara drinking water through the day and have had some interesting diapers. Just two days ago she must have had two or three sippycups full of water and held it until on moment when she totally overloaded the diaper... yup, huggies supreme. Even they coudln't hold back the flood!
I don't think it'll be a nightly event though, don't worry.
If she doesn't wake from it, I wouldn't try and change it, ya know?

We use Huggies Overnites when overnight peeing becomes a problem and they work great.

I'll answer the weather question, since I live due west of Fort Lauderdale. It is between 93-95 degrees every day with high humidity. The heat index makes it feel like it's 100 - 105 every day. There is also the daily downpour in the afternoon to early evening, as this is our wet season. Our lows each night are around 72 - 75 degrees.

Dadaland it's Africa HOT down here. Like my neighbor on the west coast said, the humidity is the killer. I sweat like a w$%^e in church [-o< after a short stroll to the mailbox! I'll let the wife know about Huggies supreme & overnites(we use regular huggies).......because I can see this reoccuring, especially in the summer. Thanks....I'll keep you updated!

The overnites are the way to go, supremes are good but not for bedtime.

Also, I found it you buy a larger size diaper, wrap it sideways around the waist and then use a normal diaper to hold it in place, it worked as well. But get some overnites, they cost about the same as regular diapers and are really absorbant.

Now that is hot! I must say...Orlando is NO better. The only time I go outside is to get to my truck and back! :D This weather.....

I could use one of those Huggies Supreme for my cup just walking to the truck!! In Florida..you can buy an ice cream cone and walk 2 block and you have MUSH!

Ur not kidding SAHF. I hear Orlando-I know Orlando is smokin' in the summer.......at least we've got the sea breeze, though not much. I remember all those summer vacations to see Mickey.......those lines were brutal & the heat unbearable! I'll make sure I take the kids out of school during the winter, and make the trip then to avoid the lines and the heat.

It has been a cooler summer here in Maine than most we've had. It is funny to say that because today is the hottest it has been in 2 months but it is the truth overall.

Maine gets weird weather. In the middle of a season everything will change. The beginning of last winter was abnormally warm and we got 3 snow storms in December and all 3 dropped more than a foot at a time. So we had over 3 feet of wet snow before Janury and then the temperature just dropped and we didn't get any snow for the rest of the winter. It turned out to be one of the coldest winters ever on record and one day broke the coldest day ever recorded.

It can rain here for weeks at a time and then the sun will come out and the air will become dry and last like that for a month.

Bizarre!

Sounds like Duluth, Rem...
Our lowest this winter on my thermometer was -30 (got pics to prove it)
I laughed hearing you floridians say a low of 70-75! Thats our highs most days! I love living in a colder clime, see, cuz as it gets colder, you can put more layers on to stay warm, but as it gets hotter down there, you can only take off so much!

I hear ya on the heat. I grew up in Michigan with summers only a little warmer than you have in Duluth. Now I'm in Phoenix and it is sweltering. Our heat index is comparable to Florida. They say it's a dry heat, but I say so is your oven. We're expecting to hit 112 on Sunday. Of course, our dirty little secret here is that July and August are our most humid months as well thanks to the "monsoon" that brings afternoon storms similar to those in Florida.

I've been here 7 years and I REALLY want out. The gorgeous winters just aren't worth it.

I would love to trade with most people...not you Muz...but most! :P

I would love to have a little snow on the ground instead of the ash from the fires we have most Summers. :x

Anyone want to trade.... :?:

I'm with you SAHF. It'd be nice to experience the seasons. I'm one of the few "natives" here in south FL, and would love to have some change in the weather(sometimes u always want what u don't have). I will say that our winters are quite pleasant!

My parents grew up here in Maine and then semi retired in Clearwater Florida where they reside now. They think Florida is much better when it comes to weather.

My dad told me one day on the phone shortly after he moved down there and said that the sun actually does shine more than 2 weeks per year.

The funny thing is I usually go see him around the holidays and every year I go it is overcast and rainy. And every time he tells me it is not normal for Florida.

I did spend a lot of time in Florida in April while growing up. I would vacation there for 3 weeks every year. I would even get time off from school. I then spent an entire August in Clearwater and it was the hottest I have ever been in my life.

Oh please, do not get us wrong...Florida is a great place to visit.

And as you say Tommy...I do like the Winters here. Nice an cool, maybe a little frost in the morning, but the Summers..... :? they can go!

So you are REALLY from here? How did that happen? lol I was transplanted here after I left the Air Force and the wife got a job at Schwab. I call Texas home but was born in upstate New York. As you can see, I come from a military family all around!

Born and raised in Miami, and moved to Ft. Lauderdale in my early 20's. Ya, not many natives........we've got a ton of New Yorkers though. My family is originally from Chicago(south-side), and moved down here to open an Irish Pub in what is now known as "Little Havana".

The pub has long been closed.....wish it wasn't....I'd love to have unlimited free BEER!
