Tony, don't have too much fun! Don't drink too much when mudding, you might end up with some really lumpy sections

I like Fridays but my wife works 7 days a week so the weekend is really no different than the week.
I think she gets this Sunday off though. :D
Wow..
Your wife is a super woman and sounds like she needs a vacation. If she is off on Sunday, get a babysitter and have a great time....
Wife (diet) -> :partyman: <- Rem (and a shot)
Not too much though....remember...#4 is at the door!

The brewing is going great, I just brewed an EPA Thursday, I am wanting to get that into the secondary and the wheat beer in a keg next friday before we go on vacation, We are heading down to the outer banks of NC next friday night, we have a house right on the beach, my wife's uncle just gave us and my sister and law and her cousin 3 grand a peice to spend on vacation, so we are going to have some fun.
I am having problems getting 2 of the 4 kegs I got to hold pressure, one the lid is broke on, the other is leaking out of the pressure release valve on the lid, I tried switching the valve with the broken lid, but still leaking, I found a place to order lids for 15 bucks, but I will get them when we get back. I replaced all the o-rings in all of them, and cleaned them up.

Hopefully you'll miss the tropical storms in the Outer Banks, you lucky devil. I wanted to go back this year but with the new house being built, ew cannot afford it. We usually stay in Nags Head, where are you staying?

Oak Island, we rented this house called "Cook's Anchor Inn" Right on the beach, walk out the back door and you are in the sand.

Maybe next year a dadstayshome.com convention in the outerbanks? Mike rents the house and we all freeload, hehehe!
Who know's, maybe next year we can find a place we all can agree on and have a little get together. We know who is bringing the beer.

YAH MIKE!
Mike, don't just get the lids, you can get whole kegs for that... or go through a vendor (i.e. NorthernBrewer) that only sells pressure tested kegs. Thats a freakin' bummer getting bum kegs, man. Check out fleabay too, they're folks selling them for ~$10+ sh, comes to around $20. Not completely the right answer but...
I'm in for the convention! :)
...just have to convince wife and kids

I found this site http://www.morebeer.com/detail.php3?pid=KEG440A They sell the lids for 14 bucks, and shipping is pretty reasonable to. I think that is a pretty good deal.
The little get together idea doesnt sound to bad, I kinda like the idea, maybe a different place every year that we could all agree on.

Convention at the ocean, with beer supplied by Mike. Awesome!
Here I am, finally responding to this "friday" post on Sunday AM (once again, at my last night baby shift). My weekend's been filled so far with lots of small projects. Got some shelves installed. Then I had some fun, and went to Home Despot and picked up a little table saw and a belt sander. Want to be ready to repair our deck when my Dad visits in a couple weeks. Tomorrow brings other tasks: hanging towel racks, rewiring the garage door openers, etc. (We just bought this house back in March, so there is so much to do, and not enough time.)
Mike, enjoy the ocean!

Thanks Dan, and I wish I had some of the stuff you had to do, those are my favorite things to do, I like them so much that I dont have any more of it to do, I am almost completely out of home improvement projects, I have nearly remodeled our entire house. But the little stuff here and there keep me busy.

Hey Mike, I think I've offered before, but if you get bored, come on over, I've got a TON of projects in the works! Besides, you know I'll have good beer on hand! :)

Yeah right....lol I used to drive truck and I had to deliver a load of lumber to Duluth, I stopped in somewhere in wisconsin to sleep for the night, I woke up, it was so foggy I couldnt see, then about 20 miles down the rain, lightning, raining like hell, then after about 30 miles of that, snowing like crazy, couldnt drive more than 20 mph, went through that for a couple hours, then freezing rain, ice everywhere, tree limbs falling down, cars and trucks in the median and ditch, went through that the rest of the way to Duluth, delivered the load and promised myself that I would never go there again.
sounds like one of our better storms! For what little its worth, all the snow birds that hang out in Florida/Arizona etc during the winter come up here for the summer. You can always tell a tourist by how slow they drive down the hill! More power to them though, if they want to spend their money here, the city can use it.
Ahhh, Duluth... gotta love it

But Mike, that's when you start back at the beginning, and redo all the projects you already did. It's the circle of life. :)

Convention sounds cool! 8)
Rem, enjoy your Sunday anyway! :D
I had a great Sunday even though the wife was home!
We got a lot done. If I could have every weekend (both days) where I got that much done it would be a lifestyle change.
My birthday is next Monday and my son's birthday is this Thursday. I think I may have to settle down with some brews for a long weekend.

Happy birthday to you and your son rem, Nice having birthdays close, you guys can take a special day just the two of yo, go to a ball game or something every year, like a father son tradition. He would remember that for the rest of his life.
My sister had her baby last year on Aug. 17th, that is her birthday too. So her and her daughter both celebrate the same day, but I will be on vacation next week, so I will have to visit them when we get back.

My mom called last night and told me she got me 2 tanks, and she was mailing them out today, I knew as soon as I bought some, people would come through with sending them to me. Now I will have 6 tanks, two of them I cant get to hold pressure, but I am a determined man, and I will succeed with those darn things.
6 tanks, thats awesome man! I've only got 4, and have a hard time keeping those filled. Thats one benefit of having the commerical tapper as well, though, if homebrew runs out, you can get yourself a keg of commercial beer too. Going to do that this afternoon in fact. I've got an IPA and a Wheat kegged but I need to save them for when some friends are coming up. SOOO keg of Leinies amber light is in order, especially since Val's folks are coming up this weekend to help with the floor. Can't do manual labor whilst imbibing in homebrew, you just get messed up to quick!
