Well, I caugt my son (1 year old) yesterday eating sand out of the sandbox. I had stepped away for a minute to answer the phone, and there he was with a mouth full of sand and a big grin on his face. Fortunately, the sand was clean, but it was still about impossible to get out of his mouth.

So anyway, he's fine the rest of the day - no ill effects. The next morning he poops as usual, but this time his poop is just like a sanded, green tile grout. Poor kid! I was as gentle as I could be with the wipes, but it felt very strange wiping gritty poop.

Maybe I should market this idea to some Hollywood stars as the latest method to purge your system of impurities and make you younger and thinner. The "South Texas Sand Diet."

Sand Poop...

Wiping that must have been a real challenge.

Worst one I had was a CRAYON poop... My older boy left out a CRAYON and before I knew it the little one had chewed up a few bits... COLORFUL!!!

The worst "ones" (for me) happened when she first started eating real food/solid food. My buddy told me about changing his kid and how one time the poop was all over the place. I was like yeah sure, your making it up. Well, then it happened to me. The ever popular explosive poop. Green, like Cambells Pea soup with a stench that would make Oscar the Grouch weep.
Thank doG thats all behind us (for lack of a better term)

Whenever we take my dog to the beach, the same thing happens. He "surfs" in the sand: planting his face down to the ground and pushing forward through the sand. Let's just say, it gives him plenty of roughage.

My daughter's poop us real gritty when there's too much fiber, or Flinstones chewable vitamin in her meals.

I like the stuff that comes out the same as when it went in, gerber in gerber out.

My son ate part of three different color crayons so I'm looking for a rainbow turd and instead it comes out regular, washable crayons won't stain poo either.

My wife and I freaked out and took our daughter (7 mos at the time) to the doctor after she ate her first banana because the fibrous black thread that runs in the bananas core comes out looking like little black worms the first couple of times. We were sure she had some kind of parasite infestation. First time parenting is such a learning experience.

My dog ate a bag of york peppermint patties once. Foil plastic and all. He had foil laced turds for about two days. They sparkled in the sun, it was almost a shame I had to clean them up.

Ah dirt, my little guy has had more than one handfull in his mouth
But my "best" poop came the day after his first birthday party. My wife made him a green frog cake. He completely devoured it and was covered with green frosting. The next morning, when I changes his diaper, his poop was bright frog green. Not only that, but it also stained his butt green

Mine ate three or four of those little magnet poetry words. I didn't even know it until I found them in his poop. They were all very small words like "an" and "if". It's like he was trying to tell me something..

Frame those and put them in a museum! The Whitney Biennial may still have a space or two free.
