Hi All,
Has anyone heard of a legitimate work from home job. Has anyone ever heard or tried any DATA ENTRY from home jobs?
Thanks.

I have looked into data entry, surveys and work from home comapnies. I looked real hard at them and it is hard to find something real that pays.
I did find something though.

I found out of about 25 different companies, a company that is truely "an awesome find". Awards from CNN and Earst & Young, INC 500 hall of fame. Placed in Better Business Hall of Fame. In business for 21 years and have never been in debt. This company just gets better. Email me at Akessler@mygkboy.com for more information.

Dude I am so sick of hearing from "businesses" that can't or won't even tell you what they do up front. Silly.

my business is so great that giving you a brief discription here would not do you or the company justice.

Then why don't you just provide the company name so we can look it up ourselves? All the obfuscating about what the company is and what it does leads me to believe it's not legit. I don't know a single legit company that wants to hide its business and name until I send out an email to some stranger. Give me the company name/website or please stop posting about it.
I remember answering one of those ads in the newspaper that said they were looking for "Management Trainees". I went in for an interview and was told to show up the next day in a shirt and tie for my first day of orientation. All they'd tell us was that we'd be training to manage a warehouse and sales staff.
The next day, we were piled into a van with a bunch of boxes and carted off to another town. Once we got there, we piled out and our trainer announced we'd be going door-to-door and trying to sell closeout products to businesses. Each day, the products would be different. The day I happened to be there we were selling stuffed monkeys (the kind with the velcro hands that hang around your neck) and electronic address keepers.
Seeing as how I was about 30 miles from my car, I elected to tough out the day. About mid-day, the guy the other trainee went into a seizure. He started flopping around on the pavement and our trainer was freaking out like a little girl. I did the best I could to keep the guy from bashing his head into the concrete, and used the stuffed monkeys as padding. When it was over, the guy jumped up and started to run away (keep in mind he'd moved from Jersey the week before). He had no idea who we were and assumed we were responsible for what just happened. Thinking quick I mentioned I knew his wife, calling her by name (he'd talked about his wife earlier). That calmed him down and I then explained to him that he'd had a seizure. We spent the rest of the day at the hospital. I stuck around long enough the next day to quit.

I started work at one of those $12 an hour + GUARANTEED! Places. It was 100% commission telemarketing for a fake charity. I was young and dumb so I played along the first shift. In my 4 hour shift I smoked a pack of cigarettes and drank a 50cent coke all for the pleasure of "earning" a $5 commission. I asked around to the other people there and they were working like 60 hours a week making about 80 bucks a week. I quit as soon as my shift was over. The manager freaked out and tried to intimidate me into staying.
At least I was smart enough to stay out of the pyramid scheme some of my college buddies got fleeced in. It wasn't even a good or clever one, they just drew a picture of pyramid and tried to explain the flow of money and recruitment.

Sorry about your experiances with such companies. I had my share of mis-leading ads that I answered. There was Cutco knives. Selling knives door to door. I don't know how there is residual in that. I have the same professional knives for 10 years. Then there was the ads I answered and paid $49 dollars to find out about Herbalife, no money there. Spend $450 a month and sell retail.... I'll pass. The company I found has strick regulations just as all the other Direct sales organizations. I had to pay to hear about herbalife and Cutco was called Vector Marketing. All the rest go under different names because the ads you answer are not placed by the company, but rather by an individual making (or trying to) from getting either sales or referals. The company I found does not charge for information and actually gives free training to anyone that becomes a member. I have joined a Marketing team to do work with the company that I have found; the marketing team I have joined is called YOUR FAMILY FIRST.

Everything you've just posted still makes it seem like a scam. If you post some clear and solid details about the company you might generate some interest. I suspect that you won't because you can't.

I am a self-employed indiviidual in Toronto ON. I enjoy the flexibility of being my own boss and having no one to watch over me. I do not want to get into trouble with spamming, but the company I work with is real and with no hype. I chose this company over many others after a large amount of research. I am able to spend my time building my business around my own work schedule and have a peace of mind at the same time.

I AM A SAHD in Queens NY. I have a 5 1/2 year old boy named GABRIEL and a 2 1/2 Year old girl named SAVI. They both are the most important things to me.
I own a small consulting firm and have a work form home business as well. I do not want to get into trouble with spamming, but the company I work with is real and with no hype. I chose this company over many others after a large amount of research. My kids both attend school out of the house so I have the house to myself between the hours of 9-3, and I am able to spend my time building both businesses.
Funny, but there's a guy in Canada that's found a similar company and employs nearly the same writing style as well.......

I understand that you might feel that because I can not tell you the name of the company I am with means that I am involved in a scam, I felt the same way, but I contacted the person making the claims and asked for more info!! I understand you completely, you probally have been scammed before. I have guidelines that I have to live by or I can be thrown out of the company for advertising. I will give you the information you want, but it has to be requested, otherwise it is considered spamming!!!!!
I have no problem providing the information, if it is asked for on a one on one basis, I just can't give that info in the forum.

Right on jeffus!
The last time somebody wouldn't tell me the name of the company they were representing, it turned out to be an Amway pitch.
Personally, I'd rather you be up front and let me know who it is you represent. I really can't think of a legitimate reason to withhold basic information like the name of the company.
I don't want to come off sounding like a dick, but why the "I got a secret" game? We're all intelligent adults here.

If you send me ten dollars, and I don't return it - you can construe that as interest in your company and may feel free to tell me all about it.

HEY you met my shadow!!!! Yes he is someone involved in the same company, and he always follows me to sites and tries to advertise on them. He is not married and has no kids. He is just following me. I don't feel you will be able to relate to him.
I on the other hand deal with potty training issues, and bedwetting and the such just like you all do. I have wife issues as well as money issues too. He lives at home with mom and dad!!

I thought advertising was verboten! Sorry, I must have been paying attention or something....
Dude, good luck with the family issues, but if you think I'm gonna click that link after this discussion, well, I hope your "awesome" company has a really good mental health plan.
Perhaps they should start a seminar on 'first impressions' and how it affects your business model. Or how "advertising affects your bottom line"...
And yeah, I'm being a dick on purpose. This is ludicrous! If you were interested in coming here to discuss family, kids, etc, then fine. But cut the mysterious sales crap and give us all a break. Once you build some trust, maybe, just maybe, we'd entertain some entreprenuial advances.
Ugh!
