I am in the middle of my fantasy football draft now, it has been going since Tuesday, So far this is how I am doing. I am trying a little different strategy this year. I got my tight end before my wide receivers.

1st pick: Ladanian Tomlinson

I had the first pick of the draft, so I was limited on my second pick

2nd pick: Michael Vick

I hope he lives up to his expectations

3rd Pick: Tony Gonzalez

Great tight end, probably the best. I have done pretty well so far, but now I need two wide receivers, and I dont know who to pick, or who will be left when it comes back around to me.

Do any of you guys get as involved in Fantasy football as I do. I love it, the strategy, I am in three leagues, but this one is my favorite so far.

I'm in 4 leagues this year, arghhhh. Lives drafts, 2 on sunday night at the same time.

Better hope Vick does not get hurt again :)

Its hard to say if your picks were good since I have no idea who was available at the time you drafted, hehehehe!

We had our FF draft a couple of weeks ago. It's a 12 team league and I drew the next to last pick. So I got picks 11 and 13. EVERYONE in front of me took running backs, so basically I'm screwed. I ended up with Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, and Joe Horn as my top 3 picks. Thomas Jones is my #1 back so it could be a LOOOONG season. I did get Winslow in the 6th round though. It will be an interesting test to see how successful I can be without a top teir RB. I managed to get Eli very late so he may be trade bait later in the season should he remain the starter in NY.

Tonight I draft for a new league that drafts teams instead of players. We draft 8 college teams (Div 1 or 1-A) and 3 NFL teams. We then earn points for each win and bonuses for shutouts or scoring more than 50 and a few other things I can't recall off the top of my head. Some of the guys have been doing this league for 10 years or more, so I am sure to be dead money. It should still be a lot of fun. We're basically taking over the local bar for our draft tonight. (reservations for 40).

Well, this is what I have so far after round 9, 7 rounds left, and I am pretty pleased with my team, I am desperately searching for a couple sleeper Wide receivers:

QB David Carr HOU 8.12 7
RB LaDainian Tomlinson SDC 1.01 10
RB Brian Westbrook PHI 5.01 5
WR Deion Branch NEP 4.12 3
WR Rod Smith DEN 6.12 10
TE Tony Gonzalez KCC 3.01 5
PK Adam Vinatieri NEP 9.01 3
DT New England Patriots NEP 7.01 3

Dennis Northcutt might do well in cleveland, I picked him up last year and he did well towards the end of the year. Donte Stallworth, New Orleans, is explosive. Might be good pickups in the last 2 rounds

My little update on this thread that noone but me really cares about, but....

QB Michael Vick ATL 2.12 9
QB David Carr HOU 8.12 7
RB LaDainian Tomlinson SDC 1.01 10
RB Brian Westbrook PHI 5.01 5
WR Deion Branch NEP 4.12 3
WR Rod Smith DEN 6.12 10
WR Todd Pinkston PHI 10.12 5
WR Joey Galloway TBB 11.01 8
TE Tony Gonzalez KCC 3.01 5
PK Adam Vinatieri NEP 9.01 3
DT New England Patriots NEP 7.01 3

That is what I have now. I picked up Todd pinkston in the 10th round, and joey galloway in the 11th.

I am hoping Todd Pinkston gets a few more balls thrown to him, with most defenses double covering T.O.

Joey Galloway is just a shot in the dark, with him in Tampa, he might not do to bad.

no, no, no, please do, but I thought for sure that alot more people would be into ff, I love it.

I tried to take your advice, but you must have given it to someone else first, as they were both taken, and taken early for that matter. Like 4th-5th round.

Please I need all the advice in the world, and will still come up empty handed.
