Well this has come up a lot so here goes.

To post a picture using "Photobucket" I have used many, but this is the one I currently use. If you google free image hosting I am sure you will find plenty of options.

http://photobucket.com/

First you need to have an image that is in a digital format and sized well. jpg is my prefered method, but gif and bmp will work as well. I also make my images no larger the (8" x ?) This way it shows up nicely on the screen, but does not required scroll bars to view left to right. All the images I am posting here are 8" x Whatever...

Get a FREE account from photobucket. Simple sign up procedure. Once you have signed up you will have access to the following page. (Image 1)

Select BROWSE and find your saved image on your computer and then upload. After a few seconds (or Minutes with dialup) you should get a "Load Successful" screen and have your image uploaded into a box with 3 boxes of code below. (Image 2)

You will want the third box. Just copy and paste the contents into your post. (Image 3)

Notice there are [img] tags on either end allowing for the image to appear in the post.

Hopefully this will help and if I need to add more detail to the "How To" then let me know. I am sure many of the other guys out there will be able to assist in many of the different hosting sites.

You can also PM me and I would be happy to help.

good guide Darth, the only thing I would add is if you don't have a photo program to resize, or if you don't know what programs will resize et cetera, you can download Irfanview for free from here http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm
with it you can also do batch conversion so you can resize tons of pictures all at once instead of opening them seperately.
