I have had quite a few requests for the name of our company. They are Melaleuca Inc. Feel free to look them up on the web. Melaleuca.com
The job does consist phone work and computer work. Basically we setup new accounts for the company.
The whole concept is educating people of the toxins found in the home. That the true ingredients can be deleted and a TRADE NAME can be used in it's place if the product is used for home or personal use. These chemicals have been link to cancer,ADD and asthma to list a few.
One of the reasons information is not given out is,that people are to quick to judge what it is we do. They want to say the it's like Amway or selling Avon etc... You don't stock anything to try to resell. There's no handling of money,no deliveries( ups does it).
The products are unique and versatile. Example, the furniture polish can be used as rain-x (works).
Some of the supplements we have are patented. I currently use the Phytomega and Provex.
My Cholesteral #'s went has followed.LDL 90 to 64 CH 213 to 112 now of course I watch what I eat .
As one fellow posted, there's is so much about this company that it does Not do it justice to try to explain it here. But I will agree with the replies I have seen that there should not be anything to hide if it is real.
Well this is the real deal. I am glad to introduce them to all of you and please before you prejudge contact me and I will freely answer ALL of the questions and concerns.

We used a dog shampoo at the kennel from them, smelled good. Isn't the base of it tea tree oil? Pretty versitile and effective, we have some at home.
But now I'm confused, is this the same dude or company from New York? Canada? Now Ohio?

Just opening up another thread to bring out the flames?
I'm not locking this one!

I checked this out and went through the first phase of it , the telephone conference call with a lead person and the contact person and did not come away with a warm and fuzzy feeling. For us we use a very specialized Dr. for our supplemental regimine and it's based on mineral analysis for the long term effects, no hit and miss pill popping, this has been an area of great interest for me since grade school and I'm leary of companies that don't explain their products unless you buy it first.

Next, we are not brainwashed consumers who need to look pretty, smell artificial and buy what's on tv. OUr budget does not allow purchasing over priced products +shipping that aren't neccessarily going to work. If I want to make a cleaner there are formulas/recipes that I have which work great using on hand house hold ingrediants.

From a business standpoint, if you don't have a big circulation/social/network this will be more difficult to start. You can buy leads to call from Melalucea at $3-5.00 / lead, and you have to get on an automatic program in order to be a distributer, more money going out than coming in and good luck cancelling, your distributer can't help you cancel, you have to deal with Melalucea and their service department.

Well this is enough for now, this program is similiar to other MLM's, I know, I've been associated with plenty. Can someone be succesful,? obviously, the company is growing, but perform due-diligence.

I know on other boards the admins are able to check the IPs for user names and find out if they are coming from the same one. Not sure if that's possible with this board or not.

A member mentioned that he went on a call but the information that he has shared is not correct. My wife and I have been working this business for quite some time.
First of all, the companies credentials speak loud and clear of the solid foundation that has continued for over 2 decades now. We have plenty of emails that show you how we have VERY good and highly respected doctors and scientist on the Mela staff and how we have been awarded and recognized by Ernst & Young, Dunn & Bradstreet, CNN, the BBB just to name a few. Our president and CEO also sits on the board of Directors with the United States Chamber of Commerce.
We are NOT like other home businesses, and we are not a MLM.
Over 20 years ago, it was the vision of the president and CEO of the company to allow the average man....or woman the oppurtunity to stay at home with their family and earn an income. He took out the middle man, distributors and advertisers , and in turn for what we do, that money goes to research and production of the worlds leading wellness products made from the best of science and nature and also allows us to earn our paychecks. His very modest upbringing and lessons learned from his father is what he put in place for people like us to be able to work from home part time or full time. It all started in his kitchen and now we besides the US and Canada, we are also in 11 other countries, soon to be 12.
We DO NOT purchases leads from Melaleuca and we do not have to sell, ship or deliver anything. We simply educate others on the choices that are provided for them to use far better and safer products then what is purchased at the stores now.
Again, here in the US, the companies like Johnson and Johnson, Colgate-Palmolive, and so on, are NOT required to put EXACTLY what is in their products on their labels. They use "trade names" and unless you are a chemist, you may not recognize all the chemical names for what they truly are. Even the Enviroment Protection Agency website warns the public how the chemicals inside the home are worse then the ones on the outside. Our skin is the bodies largest organ and it absorbs all these chemicals and vapors that we clean our homes and BODIES with! These companies do use these toxic chemicals in their products that are preservatives that allows them to sit on the store shelves longer until you come along to buy them.
Melaleuca does not use any harsh chemicals and many many of their products are pantented and have the all the science and proof backed behind every product. Not to mention, in working with this company, the people that earn a full time income with them, are people that we all work with and we've seen their businesses grow and expand. Another words, these are just not names and numbers that you see in some report somewhere, you are actually working together on a weekly basis, getting to know each other, the reasons that they came to Melaleuca and what it has done for their lives financially and health wise. My wife's peronal mentor came to company because her child has ADD. She did not want to put her on the drugs that they give to these children.......and with our Luminex, she has never had to. There are stories like this that come through every week. THIS IS A LICENSED PHARAMACUETICAL COMPANY that gives people the choice for BETTER & HEALTHIER products. And they are NOT high priced. We've done a price comparison with Wal-mart and have an email that you can go shop and compare for yourselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, we have an advantage dollars program that everytime you shop, you get 10% back from your order to go towards free products. Does your store do that for you?
AND in working this business, the products that you do buy for yourself are now a tax write-off. Is your deoderant a tax write off???
This IS a business, you do have to work at it just like any business. And we like the flexibility and the freedome that we have to earn an income and to be able to do it from home. No alarm clocks, no driving here and there, and no boss or other BS that you have to put up with at work.
Our business is growing and it continues to grow every month. I've heard my wife tell others that it doesn't even feel like 'work' because its something that you really do enjoy doing every day. Educating people about their choices, helping people that want to work from home as well and earning an income that is also willable to your children.
I MORE then welcome anyone that has questions or concerns. My only regret is that we dont know about this years ago.
Austin

indoor air pollution: Is ‘Home Sweet
Home’ hazardous to your health?
On the days you see a brown haze hanging over downtown, you probably don't mind staying inside. But is the air in your home any better?
Maybe not....... Indoor air, including the air in your home or apartment, can be even more polluted than the outdoor air of a big city.
says that the air in the homes in urban and rural America is routinely 5 to 30 times as toxic as the outside air, and can be as much as 100 times as toxic. Consequently, the Agency (EPA) rates indoor air pollution among the top environmental health risks.
why is your home environment so toxic?
The reason for your toxic home environment? The caustic chemicals that manufactures elect to use in manufacturing personal and home care products. For decades using these deadly products has been a way of life in the industrialized world.
I am talking about your personal and home case products..... your cleaning products ..... all your laundry care products, your personal hygiene products.....including your shampoo, your conditioner, your hair spray, your tooth paste, your mouth wash, your skincare products. .... yes, even your furniture polish! The list goes on and on.
Economical, Safe, and Natural products are available to use in your home that can replace the caustic grocery store products. Trust me....... products that you would already be using if you knew about them!
Thank you for visiting my site! The combined sources of information on this web site are being made available to you for one purpose....to help make a difference in your life! I didn't think this up, I have literally spent thousands of hours collecting and condensing the information on this web site for you. Hopefully you will want to carefully revue this site, analyze the information, and if you care....... Simply request the free information that we will provide for you at the bottom of my following web page.
does this all really matter?
After carefully reviewing the information, you decide! You are a currently a part of the only civilization in the history of the world that will willingly destroy itself.
warnings
We are literally bombarded daily with warnings from all forms of media about the disastrous affects of the caustic environment in our homes. We are not only bombarded daily with warnings, but recently a segment from ABC's HEALTHY WOMAN warned us about our lack of concern about all the other warnings! Listed among the five risks we don't worry about as much as we should: Indoor Air Pollution.
Scientists have been studying the effects of the pollutants in our water, in the air, and in cleaning products for decades. Their conclusion? The combination of breathing the poisons and absorbing them through our skin from generation to generation has resulted in a catastrophic epidemic of health problems.

A recent report from the EPA stated: "Because these mutagens damage DNA, children are even more at risk than adults because as they grow, children's cells divide more rapidly than the cells of adults, perpetuating that damage". "Faster division of cells for children is normal." "Of course, the problem is that cells mirror and make copies. A cell containing the mutant, or altered gene will never again make a cell with the perfect gene and will continue copying the imperfect gene".
rising numbers in genetic diseases
There are more than 6,500 known genetic diseases. From the time of conception each of our 30,000 genes have a unique part in the building, maintain, and controlling our ability to grow as well as our physical, psychological, and mental functions. For each of us, this natural process is all directed by our unique DNA. All genetic diseases are a result of mutant genes, and mutant genes are caused by environmental pollutants. Remember, our worst environment is in the home........... the result of using caustic chemicals in our personal and home hygiene products......Every part of our individual being was built from a single cell.......Altering any part of our DNA in any one of the more than 30,000 genes will have a devastating affect on us.....Each of our Genes create various unique proteins, as they are programmed by each of our genes unique DNA...which in turn build and control all the individual functions of our life!
Remember, each genetic disease is caused by a mutant gene and every mutant gene is caused by environmental pollutants.
"Diseases that are known to be associated with DNA mutations resulting from the use of these chemicals are escalating annually." "The rate of increase in all genetic diseases is increasing at an astonishing rate yet we continue to live our lives as though we were immortal". "As we continue to use these deadly products in out homes.........what are we doing to ourselves and, more importantly, to our future generations"?
With each new generation this problem escalates.
Network news telecast recently revealed these same environmental toxins in home products cause damage to developing brains.
More news reports revealed that exposure of the expectant mom to a caustic environment during the first month of pregnancy can cause birth defects in a newborn.
Chemicals that cause brain damage and birth defects do not belong in products marketed for our personal and house-hold use.
A Swiss-German-American study makes the strongest case yet that a genetic mutation can cause an eating disorder, the researchers say. Trying to understand the reasons for an epidemic of obesity, some researchers have begun to link several mutant genes to obesity, which raises the risk for heart disease, diabetes and many other ailments. The study is in The New England Journal of Medicine.

During the past decade the study broadened from the caustic home cleaning products to include pollutants in personal hygiene products, Shampoos, Hair spray, Tooth paste, Deodorants, and even in Skin Care products! Warnings are coming from all over the industrialized world.
"In Harms Way" alone has 149 pages of information on this catastrophe. There are mountains of information available from countless sources, all designed to give a wake up call.
pollution in people
Now the scientific community is studying pollution in people. A recent report from MSNBC reaffirms these facts! These deadly Chemicals in our personal and home products are not only are a disaster to breath and absorb them through our skin but they are ending up permanently in our bodies. The problem is even worse in children because existing levels of chemicals in the parents are passed on to the next generation at the time of conception and continue to be fed to the unborn child from the mom through the umbilical cord. The thought of this should literally scare you to death!

Not only is grapeseed and skin extracts effective at reducing clotting but they have an ANTI-INFLAMMATORY benefit. Even though the specify grapeseed and skin, Provex CV includes these ingredients. Take note of the authors--Folts, JD [scientist who developed Melaleuca's ProVexCV]!

Grape seed and skin extracts inhibit platelet function and release of reactive oxygen intermediates.

Red wine and purple grape juice contain polymeric flavonoids with antioxidant properties believed to be protective against cardiovascular events but the alcohol and sugar content of these beverages has curtailed their medicinal use. Acute cardiac events are also associated with enhanced inflammation and thrombosis. In this study, the extracts from grape skins or seeds were examined for their anti-inflammatory properties and effect on platelet release of reactive oxygen intermediates.

Incubation of platelets with seed or skin extract led to a decrease in platelet aggregation from 68.8+/-19.8% to 45+/-3.6% for seeds and to 27+/-7.2% for skin, respectively (P<0.05). Platelet incubation with grape skin or seed extracts led to a marked decrease in superoxide release from 73+/-6.2 to 2+/-3.4 for grape seeds and to 0.33+/-0.57 for grape skin (chemilum. units; P<0.05) as well as a significant increase in radical-scavenging activity, decrease in reactive oxygen species release by confocal microscopy, and enhanced platelet NO was measured using an NO-sensitive microelectrode.

These effects were dose dependent for both grape extracts. Coincubation with seeds and skins led to additive inhibition of platelet aggregation, enhanced NO release, and prevented superoxide production. Incubation with seed or skin extracts led to an immediate attenuation of release of the inflammatory mediator, soluble CD40 ligand. Thus, the extracts from purple grape skins and seeds inhibit platelet function and platelet-dependent inflammatory responses at pharmacologically relevant concentrations. These findings suggest potentially beneficial platelet-dependent antithrombotic and anti-inflammatory properties of purple grape-derived flavonoids.

Some staff memebers

Dr. Rob Wildman, PhD. in nutrition had previously been a professor of nutrition at OhioUniversity, Universityof Delawareand Universityof Louisianawhere he wa s a tenured professor. He authored over 17 articles in scientific journals.

Dr. Jay Chow, principle nutritionist at the Universityof San Francisco on age related bone loss and the antioxidant capacity of cells. Post doctoral fellow at the Universityof Florida.

Dr. Michael Kelly, now Director of Melaleuca’s division of Bio Science spent the past 10 years as the lead scientist for Abbott Laboratories, one of the worlds leading producers of nutritional and pharmaceutical products. He also taught at HarvardUniversityfor several years in human diet, minerals, vitamins and their impact on metabolism.

Bruce Bollinger, a former Vice President of Marketing for Accelerate Marketing, Snapple Beverages, Pepper Ridge Farms, Campbell’s Soup and Nabisco is currently Vice President of Marketing for Melaleuca’s nutritional line, Vitality for Life.

These are new to the staff this year. Of course there are many others that have been with us for 20 years. Such as Dr. Joh Foltz and Dr. Wang

Basically, my point is.................... we rather be with this company because of the credentials, history, etc......versus selling Tupperware. We wanted to work from home doing something that would make a difference in our lives as well as others. This business is something that we are happy to do, proud to do, and we look forward to doing it each day. That means alot when you are working to earn an income day to day, month to month and year after year.

Well Louis it seems you are well read in the subject of health and well- being.I went to the links you included and found them interesting. However one thing that struct me funny was that fact the newest study done was over 16 years ago.Do you not think that 16 years is a long time. With the advancement of technology and medical science that some of the research done in said studies might be rebuked.
Just as in politics and religion we can go on and on.I do know that the products we have used work for us.The cleaning products are everything they say they are and more.I have seen what the supplements have done for myself and father inlaw. So all I can say is for you to continue being happy with whatever it is you use and do.And I will continue doing what I am doing and know that I am saving money on the products and making money by helping others.
I will say this.I have seen alot of scams and MLMs schemes.I was skeptical at the beginning. It all sounded too good to be true. However with a 120 day money back gurantee I figured I couldn't get hurt.It is a decision that I will never regret for making. As the saying goes different strokes for different folks,I don't think we will ever see eye to eye on this issue.
I would like to challenge you to try some of the products. If you arent happy send them back for a complete refund.I can send you a cost comparision sheet to see that these arent over priced. Some times when you are a skeptic you have to atleast take a test drive to prove your point. If I thought for one minute that someone would get hurt financially from shopping with Melaleuca I would close my account right now.But I have read and talked to people who have some amazing product experiances.
Basically what I am saying is how can bad mouth a Chevy if you never owned one.You can only read so many reviews. You can only take second hand talk so far.If you want to know you're gonna have to test the waters yourself. The ball is in your court.Either shoot or pass.

I'm selling trees. Landscapers pay hundreds of dollars and sell them to homeowners all over the country. It's amazing! My daughter & I walk through the backyard and find these things all over the ground. We lovingly package these things and send them to landscapers all over the world. They, in turn, mark-up the price wildly and share the profit with us.

Psst: Here's the secret!: "They're acorns!". We sell them as "futuristic oak trees". Wow!. And for and extra fee, we can send them to you with their own pre-packaged fertilizer bundle (dog-poop-in-a-bag).

Ooops! The secret's out! :D

Act now to get in on the ground level!

Don - I'm digging this! This is better sport than trapping varmints in my backyard! Also find it fairly informative as how NOT to build a business and somewhat of a warning to others regarding somewhat dubious practices out there. Also, we've got some tertiary evidence for our friends over at FDA should they be interested.

Again, I'll be starting my 9 part-series soon about "First Impressions and How They Affect Your Business Model", and "Building Trust In the Community and How It Relates to the Bottom Line". :D

I've spent hours, wasting my time trying to tighten up crap on this board, I'm thinking it might be time to look into a new board, one that costs a few bucks, I have read a few boards are very good at fighting spam but they cost some money, I'll have to see (and in most cases all the data from this board can be pulled into the new system)

Is it easy enough to remove or ban hyperlinking in sigs? You've got enough moderators that we can simply edit or delete the posts containing these pitches as we have been doing. Its the sigs that are the problem. Or, easily enough make a generaly rule, have an url in your sig, your posts will be deleted. Easy schmeezy. Maybe a disclaimer for the cats that have been around a while with family stuff in the sig. Nah, thats not needed, since there is the "www" button.
No reason to through money into it until its a last resort. Then you could take up a collection. I'd be able to pitch in a few if it comes to that.
