Wow, My wife an I talked two nights ago, she is having troubles at her job, isnt really having fun anymore, and we came to the subject about her staying home, and me going to work, it never really got any further than that, we jsut left it alone. Well about 10 minutes ago, I got a call about two jobs, both paying a hell of alot more than I have ever made, word got around about my welding abilities, and the guy called me. I just thought it was funny that we havent talked about this ever, and as soon as we did, someone called me with a job offer, funny how life works isnt it.

It is crazy like that. Good luck with your decision too, whichever way you go with it. Its my own beleif that kids benifit from having a parent home, regardless of which one it is... (dads are just cooler, thats all ;) )

Hey, do you do stainless steel welding with sanitary seams, ie argon flush or however they do it? You could get into the conical fermenter business! :D

Good luck with your decision. Must make you feel pretty good that people are calling your for a job and not vice versa.

Tell you wife if she thought the day J-O-B was hard, get ready for the real test

If you do take the job, please don't feel like you can't come back here and let us know how life is. I know this board will sure miss you if you go

We havent really talked about it anymore than the other night, and knowing my wife she will change her mind 10 or 12 more times before we made any decisions, but more likely than not I will be staying at home. But thanks for the kind words guys, I appreciate it.

The whole changing the mind thing is common around here too.

All I know is if my wife stayed home she would soon realize the patience and hard work it is and maybe appreciate me more.

Whatever decision you make do it for the board and not the family. We come first remember...

Of course, I wouldnt have done it any other way.....lol

She is famous for acting without thinking things through, so we will talk about it more and more, and if she wants to, I am all for it, as long as one of us is home with the kids, I told her that she can't just change her mind in 6 months when the newness of staying home wears off, and reality sets in.

But we will see how it all turns out, all she will need is one good day at work, then she will want to stay.

Just to let you guys know, she changed her mind already, and wants to keep working, she even went in today to help out on her day off. Woman, I will never be able to understand them.

LOL, she pulled me in this time though, usually I just blow it off, but she sounded so serious this time. I really wasnt looking forward to the idea of going back to work. glad I dont have to yet, but one day, I am sure she will want to stay home, and then I will go.

Well, I cant drink beer all the time, but throughout the day, all I drink is Ice tea, until I walk by my beermeister and it starts calling me a girly man for not using him yet.

Mine stuck after we got back from vacation, was stuck really good, so I used the warm washcloth trick, and got it unstuck, then went to pour that first glass of beer, and it spat everywhere, I got maybe half a cup and it went empty, so I completely cleaned the lines and tap.
