Hi, my name is Indy, and I'm a stay at home dad.

Even after 9 months, I still find it strange to call myself a dad. But a dad I am, and I love it more than I had expected. I have a daughter, Rachel, who is 9 months old and is constantly amusing me, or amazing me.

I became a SAHD partly from circumstance, and partly from personal preference. Prior to trying for a kid, I had quit my job of seven years to pursue a career associated with my hobby. That led to the eventual opening of my own online business that I could run from home. That sums up the circumstance side of it.

On the personal preference side of things, both my wife and I are products of stay home moms. Having seen the products of large day cares, I knew early on that I did not want my child cared for in that manner. So it was my personal conviction to do what I could to ensure my children were cared for by a family member. So, I put my money where my mouth was and took up the responsibility of raising my daughter.

I can honestly say I enjoy it. I've taken to it much better than I thought I would. Fortunately, I have a child with a cheerful disposition and an out-going personality. To

My brother introduced me to home brewing when he was living with us--which explains the exploded hops that can still be found in the coat closet. He's in the Air Force now, so I have all his brewing stuff. Shouldn't be too hard to get me into it.

Right now, my main hobbies are BBQ'ing (specifically wood smoking) and paintball.

Nice, you have all the equipment to brew, and some spare time at home, cool......

I used to love paintball, but didnt wear a cup one day, and my buddy got a lucky shot off and hit me in the cuppless area, OMG  It hurt for weeks, I havent played since.

I got into smoking because of a steak I had at Charley's in Kissimmee. Hands down, the best steak ever. As a result, I now have about 40lbs of assorted wood chips in my garage.

The paintball thing is a little more out of control. I started playing just out of high school, 13 years ago. Five years into playing recreationally, I got my first taste of tournament play. What started innocently enough evolved into a monster. I got addicted to the adrenaline. It moved from hobby, to passion, to lifestyle in quick order. I have enough gear to outfit an entire team. I operate two paintball businesses. All my casual clothes promote paintball. All my friends are paintball players. I had to put a special rider on my homeowner's insurance to cover my gear. I bought an SUV to haul it all. I need help.

As for the welts, name a body part. I've been hit just about everywhere. As a result, I now wear a cup.

Welcome Indy! This board is growing fast, I think your member #70.

Do you have online paintball stores? If so PM me, I get good traffic for paintball on one of my websites and can get you a link.

I spend too much money on beer kits and equipment, if I dropped a chunk-o-change on a laptop and wireless network, I'd be in the dog house for sure!
Although, I've toyed with the idea of one of those little pda type, more fancy then a palm but smaller then a laptop, ya know what I mean?
anyway...

I bought one of those, A sony clie handheld, pretty neat little gadget, I used it alot for the first few days, then I realized my schedule wasnt hectic enough to need planning. So I sold it on Ebay and actually made a little profit on it.
