When my wife and I got up this morning my wife was met by our 5 year old son. He quickly explained to her that our 23 month old had put spit in her hair. Needless to say, she was greatly concerned as to what she was about to find when she went into the nursery. Our daughter was screaming at the top of her lungs, so she knew it wasn't going to be pretty. When she went in she found our daughter, who normally has black hair in a somewhat tight afro, with white hair and fairly relaxed. She was also soaking wet. Our son still was trying to tell us that she put spit in her hair. Upon interogation he said that he put hair moisturizer in her hair (blacks generally need to use hair lotion to keep their hair from drying out). We knew that wasn't right, since the hair lotion is pink and her hair was very white and greasy. When asked to give us the bottle he had used he handed us the vasoline. Still not right, because the color was wrong. That was when I found the Desitin tube open. It seems that he placed Desitin, a lot at that, in her hair thinking it was hair moisterizer. Since it didn't soak in he realized he had made a mistake and decided to wash it out. He went to the bathroom and got his toothbrushing cup, which was now covered in Desitin. He used that cup to pour large amounts of water over her head in an attempt to wash out the Desitin. Water doesn't do much to Desitin, so now she was soaking wet and her hair was completely covered in Desitin. I think this is the point at which she started screaming. On the bright side, any diaper rash that was on top of her head should now be taken care of. Either that of my daughter is now an official butthead.

Unfortunately, I didn't think to take pictures until she was cleaned up. I dealt wtih the hairdresser while my wife cleaned up the toddler. Afterwards I thought of taking pictures.

Hey, your kid is holding a bagpipe chanter. Don't tell me you play the pipes because I'm a bagpipe band snare drummer!

There's an event in Williamsburg, PA on August 5th, will you by chance be going to that?

My parents are part of the MacTavish clan and will be attending the event. I'd been kind of toying with the idea of making the trip out there with them.
