My boy just decided to take a few steps last night - a day shy of turning 10 months. But he did them a little too close to the entertainment center and caught the corner with his forehead. His first steps, and his first real booboo.
Didn't get footage of course, will try to do so today.

Shame, Stretch, FOR SHAME you BAD, BAD MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:axe:
Wow, Cubfan, walking at ten months!!! Graham (one year on Friday) seems to be taking his time with walking. He's MUCH more interested in the speed he gets when he crawls.
Congrats, man!! Post pics or vids!!!

wow man, that's a low blow! That's a Cubfan's worst nightmare!
Thanks guys - it's probably going to be one of those things that he does early, but now wont take another step for another couple months. Like rolling over, he did it once at like 4 months, then didn't even think about it for another month or so. It was cool to see though, he was holding onto the couch, then just decided to let go, stood on his own for a few good moments, then took a few poised steps....TIMMMBERRR onto the entertainment center.
Leah started at 10months too. It was a huge shocker for us! We just weren't really tuned up for her walking yet, Tara didn't walk consistantly till after one year, we figured we had time!
Good luck, man, its a crazy new world every time!
I edited to correct my mis-word.. world... ya see...

Skinned knees and bumps on the head are a norm once they start going bipedal. :) At least for Alex it is.

Congrats on your sons first steps!
I think it is amazing that a baby can learn to walk in such a short time frame.
My daughter was always looking over her shoulder and crashing into things (take after me apparently). It seemed like from 13 months to 20 months she always had a bruise from a wipe out.
My son however is far better on his feet. I bit to brave for 20 months.

Then again, I was a few-weeks old fawn following his mother this spring, and wondered "sheesh, why do humans take so darn long!".
