Is it me, or it LAZYTOWN on Nick, Jr. juuust a little bit scary? Maybe I'm missing something.....?

My daughter watched it the first time. Next time it was on, she ran up to the TV and turned it off (that's actually a good thing).

She says, "I don't like Lazytown". I tell her I don't really like it either (can we watch CNN?).

'Sporticus' just creeps me out, and the puppets with lifeless non-tracking eyes are a little spooky. The "bad" guy seems like a Jim Carrey wanna-be and is a little spooky too.

Good thing is that she learned a new word - "spooky".

Even better, she learned that if she doesn't like a show, she can just turn it off!

It is to expensive to run cable lines that far north, way up by canada......lol j/k

I wouldnt have cable if it were up to me, except on sundays and mondays during football season, and anytime the flyers are playing, which might not be for a long time since the lockout starts today. No hockey :(

This is to all owners of the NHL, :butthead:

I'm with you Tony. We don't have cable. We get about 6 stations and it's more than enough. Reminds me of when I was a kid, except I don't need a pair of pliers to turn the channel now :)

Actually Mike I blame the players for the lockout, to damn greedy. Anyone making over 1 million a year to play a sport should be counting their blessing, $100 bills at a time. THe owners should make some money since they invest all the capital and 1/2 the NHL teams lose money.

Hey, the funny part is my internet access is through a cable modem, but we refuse to put it to the tv. I am horribly addicted to the television, spent weekends at a time flipping channels and stopping only for MASH before I was married. Its self preservation not to have it in the house.

Cheers all

food for thought, if the good teachers were paid the same as atheletes, how do you think we'd rank in overall education in the world?

My daughter and son like that show....it is WAY too scarey if you ask me! The puppets look TOO real!

Who thinks of these shows?

I always thought Steve's job would be cool, and then when Joe came on even better! Ever notice Joe uses sign language?
I know, not lazytown, but...
If boobahs and the telickytubbies made such a big marketshare, imagine what else can be thought of!

I liked Sesame Street.

I don't have cable either so all I get are Saturday morning cartoons, and PBS KIDS. Boohbah.... my kids like that but it is so stupid.

Not to offend anybody here that likes it but what the hell is going on in boohbah land. And Barnie??? Sorry I don't want my son to turn into a freakin pansy.

What happened to Road Runner and Bugs Bunny?

 Better keep your kids away from you then, they'll be pansies in no time, ouch, kidding Rem :P I love you, you love me, we're a happy family! :P

We never watch Barnie, Sesame street is OK. kids love Elmo's World.

You can find RR on boomerang, but that's a cable channel. Boomerang plays all the old cartoons.

Yeah, that "b" word isn't even spoken in this house. There is no way on God's green earth my daughter will watch that if I have any say in it.
When we're out and about, visiting family or whatnot and its on, fine, once in a year maybe....

It has a good message. "Get your butt movin' or bad things can happen to you." Sporticus looks, and sounds, like an Olympic Gymnast from the 1924 French Team. While watching the Credits today I saw it is filmed in Iceland. Makes me wonder if they are getting some Blue Smoke Clouds from the Netherlands. Somewhat off topic; has anyone seen Caillou on PBS? Why doesn't this 4 year old boy have any hair? Is he sick? His parents and little sister all have hair. What kind of name is Caillou? Is he from Montreal? This is what runs thru my mind all day long. Help!!!!

Boobah and the Teletubbies had to be created buy some hippie still tripping on the ol paper stuff...Alex loves them so I watch them..

Kind of reminds me of the days when Pink Floyd's The Wall and Fantasia were about all I watched on the weekends, If ya get my drift....

I don't care for Lazytown. Sesame Street, Dora, and Blues Clues. That takes care of our two hours of TV per day.

Occasionally, we watch Bear in the Big Blue House on DVD or the The Wiggles on VHS.

I find Caillou and Dragon Tales to both be to whiney.

Lazytown has grown on me a bit. Actually surprised when I read those lightning fast credits at the end. Sporticus is the creator, producer, writer, and star of the show. So he's got to be raking in the dough or whatever currency they use in Iceland.
