Vonage anyone?

Does anyone here use Vonage? I am sick of Bellsouth, but our alternatives are few and just as unatractive.

Everywhere I read that Vonage is great, however I am yet to come accross someone who's a user.

A buddy of mine uses it and says it was ok. Not sure how they are on enhanced 911 yet? Used to be you call 911 but they could not get your location without you telling them.

Power goes and so does the phone service.

Have you checked your local cable company? I know here for $40 it's unlimited everything, caller id on your tv and enhanced 911. I don't use that service cause we pay just for the most basic phone service and use the cell for long distance.

I was checking them out about a year ago and they were not in my area yet. IMO they couldn't compete with comcast. I have comcast for all 3 services, Cable, Internet and home phone. Unlimited long distance and tone of features. I have been taking advantage of the call forwarding. The price is a bit more but the customer service is great. When something had gone wrong they would be out here in less then 24 hours.
