skype?

its an instant messanger/voice chat program. The gf uses it to talk to a former co-worker who moved back to germany. (incidentally who also offered to put us up with her through all this bsw e are dealing with) So I was just curious if any of you guys use the program.

Yeah, my whole family uses Scype. My brother and family live in Bangladesh. You don't want to rack up those long distance phone bills. There is a little bit of delay, but not really more noticeable than the telephone. It's really good for overseas, but for family in this country, I still prefer the cell phone with no long distance charges. I got a USB headset also, although a microphone and speakers works well when you have nore than one person talking.
Oh, and did I mention it's FREE? Can't lose there.

yeah i know it is free. i have a gamers headset that works very nicely.

Yeah, We use Skype as well. It's got the best video chat service I've come across. Really good quality and very little interuptions. Higly recommended.

use skype for all our calls....bought a little usb phone and all. i like it....still have land line for 911 but it is only 10 bucks or so a month....skype saves us a ton of money....plus when the wifey leaves me for travel nursing for six weeks we will use it...they just came out with the beta skype video for mac...very cool........ooooh, see that little green check mark on the right of this post means i am online with skype now
