View Full Version : Who cooks?
I'm interested to find out who does the cookin'
I do almost all of the meals, but my wife bakes on occasion.

Its me during the week and she takes over on the weekend. I do order the occasional pizza during the week if it has been "one of those days". My son loves pizza

We both cook. There is no method to it really. I do a lot of the hamburgers or steaks and my wife does more of the baking.
Sunday evening we order Chinese while we watch Alias.
I would have to say the wife...what I do is not considered cooking. Not that I do not know how, but she wants to have her hand in "raising" our little ones.
Her words, not mine!

My wife and I both share the cooking burden. Our dream is to someday have a maid to clean house, do laundry, and cook. We eat out a few times each week, one time doing the Wendy's or Mickey D's, and doing a nicer place on the weekend.
I am the king of hamburger helper meals.

When you go out is it just the 2 of you?

We will get sitter once a month to get out by ourselves, but the rest of the time we take the kids. But they go where mom and dad want to eat. :)

I do all the cooking. My wife can only microwave water and reheat frozen meals. I was a Restaraunt Mgr. in my past life. Cooking gives me a break from my other responsibilities. I make my wife clean up though. She gets off work at 5 but she still has to do something.
When we go out we take our son who is 6.

Now look at the poll results thus far. We are either good liars or the women need to step up to the plate and cook every once in a while.
Just because they work,.... sheesh! I work too... and just as long. 8)

Oops! Actually I missed the 'both' option. No I am not outraged for no apparent reason... :D :D :D
But there are still more "Me's" than their are just "wives" that cook!

I cok 95% of the time. When my wife says "Idon't feel like cookin' tonight", that usually means we're ordering out. It doesn't bother me 'cause I get a break from cokin'!!

I cook, I clean, I hang drywall, I paint, I spackle, I mow the lawn, I do tea-parties, etc. and I have no reservations about making reservations (occasionally).
Sometimes, when the wife asks "What's for dinner?", I hand her a menu and say take your pick. No guilt.
She's got it so easy and I'm not above reminding her every now and again. Of course, it's a double edged sword - "I get up every day, drive an hour, and blah, blah, blah (at least, that's what I hear)".
