Ok this story needs to be told. My wife and I decided to get up early and go about 2 hours south to do some shopping for furniture. We already got a couch set and a nice Belgium rug but my wife thinks we need all kinds of stuff for the bedroom... new beds, new dressers, etc...

So we get Elizabeth and Isobel next to each other in the waaaay back. We have a van if anybody was wondering. Then in the back we have Sammy.

We decided to stop and treat the kids to Burger King before we hit the Interstate. So things were going real well for the first hour or so and the kids almost drifted off to sleep. All of a sudden there was a horrible smell coming from the waaaay back. Yep Isobel pooped. Now I went to turn around just in time to see Sammy projectile vomit all over the place. It got all over him and the car.

So I pulled off the side of the road at a rest area and spent a good 20 minutes cleaning the car and the seats and sammy and getting the smell out of the van. So we finally get that taken care of and my wife and I looked at each other and she is like, "you gonna change Isobel's poopy diaper or am I?" What a dumb question.

Well it ended up being a 2 person diaper change because she managed to poop up the back of her all the way to her neck. All of her clothes were messed. Luckily my wife brought an extra outfit but getting the messy outfit off left poop in her hair.

Bad scene. So we spent another 10 minutes cleaning Isobel up. Amazing thing is they didn't smell too bad when we were done with them. My wife brings extra stuff to deal with things like this.

So my day was quite eventful!

PS - Never did buy furniture today...

Might be a good time to buy a new van...

Get a Jeep. They have a drain hole in the floor for hosing them down, could come in handy with the kids. "Now, hold still..." :)

Yea... I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Fortunately the rest of the day went well. Sammy didn't feel sick or anything after that and was his normal self. The van doesn't even smell. I am surprised!!

When we got home we did spray some disinfectant on the booster seats and still did some scrubbing but it is like bran new now.

I can imagine the great stories after the new baby is born and it is the 6 of us traveling...
