Hi guy's does anyone else have a problem with the diper geine? The first couple of dipers all fall through and wined up in one pile and the stupid thing wont seal when you twist it I would really like to smash this thing with 10 lb lump hammer but the wife has to have it

I don't use that thing. I just use my trash can. If there is a poopy diaper it gets thrown in a plastic bag tied off and then into the trash she goes.

This thing is driving me nuts I would do better with a steel fire can for flamable rag then this thing I really want to throw it in the middle of the street an run it over a couple of times. Sorry had to vent
Ya know whats funny, we had the same problem with the clasps or whatever those four things are coming off, and I pitched one out, now there are three.
Anyway, Val always just shoves them as far as she can and they unwind until its on the bottom. just gotta finesse it until its full enough to stay wound.
Good luck, and happy venting!
We used that thing for our son. It worked great the first time we used it. After that, diapers got bunched together, and the SMELL is enough to kill you after some use. We even got some of those "scented" bags and all it smelled like then was crappy trees!
With my daughter, we used those wonderful WalMart bags and tossed them into the garbage. I always wondered what the hell I was going to do with all those plastic bags!

We have used the Genie as well as another brand. I have pitched them both in favor of the kitchen garbage can. We have enough people in the house that the garbage gets emptied at least once per day, so the diapers don't have time to start smelling. The really bad ones get wrapped or taken straight outside.

We used the genie for the first kid, not so good. Moved to the one that uses regular trash bags, so much better

Yea same here. I tie off a new bag almost daily anyway.

I'm with you Louis. No problems with the Diaper Genie. Once and a while it doesn't twist tight, but then I just make sure the next diaper sits high on the clamps, and I twist in an extra time. Sure a HECK of a lot better than a stinky garbage can!

I used a diaper genie with my first son but now they just hit the can and the #2 diapers get wrapped in plastic grocery bags. No problems thus far, just make sure you don't dorget to wrap them because you will be afraid to open that can.

No doubt! Especially here in Florida when your cans sit outside in this GOD FORSAKEN HEAT! Now that is a smell to get you to go out and buy a new trash can!
