today we went to the park. It's just a few streets away and we just found it a week or so ago. Anyways there is a paved circle for kids to ride their bikes, kinda neat for a toddler I thought, and it has a few gentle slopes on it. So today Jilly rode her bike over and I walked with her, we get there and I finally talk her into riding around the circle, she's hesitant on her bike though, although she rides fairly well, she has the mechanics down (it does still have training wheels), but she always wants me to be right next to her, and I mean right next to her, so I thought the circle might help me, in helping her to gain more confidence. So I suggest a race, she goes one way and I go the other, the circle is only about 30 yards at it's diameter. So I can see her and get to her quickly, and I was hoping she might start to feel a little more confidant with me not being right next to her. And it worked, we raced that way several times and things were going great, she was peddling faster than she ever had before, and had tackled the steepest part, which isn't steep, but for her it is, and had raced down it, no problems steering, and then braked very well. What a proud dad I was, and intelligent to, obviously, to have had such an ingenious idea. Then I suggested we race two times around the circle, both going the same way. She's off, I'm running to keep up, but still letting her win ;) and she takes one hand off the handlebars to wipe her nose (allergies), her left hand pushes the left side forward, the bike starts to go over, she pulls it back and grabs the other side, with a visable "oh shit" in her eyes, too late, gravity has it's hold and over she goes, she sits for a minute of stunned disbelief and then bellows out "DAAAAAAADDY"! Then the tears start, she was fine, not even a scraped up knee, but it scared her and she didn't peddle fast anymore, and I have to walk right beside her again :wall:

sao how old is she. Mines 3 1/2 and she still has not quite grasped the concept ( I need to find a place that does not have a 6% grade) Oh man I bet it scared you more than her!!! Hey you better get in excelent shape because sooner or later she will be doing circles around you.
