Couple of websites are touting Internet Explorer 7 saying it's more secure etc. anyone know if it really is? Are there still some bugs in it?

I saw that some security outfit had already dug up a moderately serious vulnerability the day after it was released. Now they and MS are in a slanging match about whether the flaw is in IE7 or the broader Windows environment. General consensus seems to be definitely upgrade if you use IE6, but if you already have Firefox running it's pretty much a toss-up.

I have it on my computer, but only use it on a few sites. (Microsoft...) Otherwise I use FireFox. Funny thing is it looks a lot like FireFox...Hmmmm

I still use IE 80%, firefox when admining this site and testing sites to see how they look. I also have Opera which is not half bad.

You aren't able to downlad it yet from the Microsoft website yet, tried to download it this afternoon no luck, have to think it's more secure then the latest 6.0 version!

I'm pretty sure it's included in the automatic updates if you've got windows set up to receive them.
The flaw is something that existed in IE6; MS said they were not going to fix it, so I'd guess they're not going to fix this one either.
One of the troubles with IE is that it's so infused with your Operating system. IE gets borked, and a lot of times so does windows. Three cheers for Proprietary Software and Gigantic Monopolies!!!
