Anybody but the Yankees (the Celine Dione of Baseball).

We didn't have a baseball team in my home town of Buffalo, but we lived in Pittsburg during their awesome years of the early 70s: Willie Stargell, Roberto Clemente, and the rest of the family were my early heros. Haven't followed them recently, but they are a nostalgic favorite. Gotta say I am also a bit of a fan of Boston -- I lived in Massachusetts for a long time, and went to a bunch of games at Fenway, and what a place that is. Best time!

Living in a country that televises cricket only,

I’d be happy to see the Arizona Diamondbacks play…

(Then again, this is a team named after a snake, yet has a bobcat as a mascot?):-k

Cricket, eh? I was at a friend's wedding outside of London, and one of her friends took it apon himself to explain cricket to all us Americans. Man oh man, it makes baseball seem simple! My only understanding of that sport comes from Douglas Adams' jokes about it in his Hitchhiker's books.

My favorite televised sport has to be sumo wrestling. When I lived in Japan for a year, I go into watching it. The best part was that the actual wrestling matches are so fast, that the evening news could replay the entire day's tournament in 5 minutes. You'd never miss a match! (And the fat guys you usually see are just one weight class. The lighter weights - wow, those guys are fast!)

Wedding outside of London? Was that you? I think I was there...The nose..Now I remember that nose! And the glassy-eyed gaze. Man, I thought you were going to chew your own arm off to get away!

Seriously though, I was there in 2000 for a wedding outside of London and preceded to be told how 'uncivilized' we Americans are. "The first half of the reception is strictly formal" and then the party starts later.

Unfortunately, we 'barbarians' thought the party started out pretty lame and couldn't imagine how this could actually get any better. We were insulted that we flew 3000 miles to be told this, gave the bride & groom their gift (haven't talked to them since), went back to London and had our own party. Cheers!

Love the "Old World!" They do have nice hats, though...

3 thousand Wedding miles and a party resembling a Funeral…
I hope the in-flight movie was good.

So..like..are you telling me the Mets are out of it? I have to stop watching the Disney channel all the time and check the ESPN more than once a year.

Where's that remote? Honey, Have you seen the remote?? Does this TV actually get other channels? There's how many channels? I thought there was only 3 - PBS, Nick, & Disney...Honey, what's an action adventure movie and do I need to get my parent's permission before we watch it?

Honey, wake up honey - we need to talk.....Honey?! You there?

Must've been a different wedding... we had a blast. Low key, informal. Music provided by iTunes (with us all being DJs). We all also got introduced at the local Indian restaurant the night before, so had some more fun after the wedding itself.
