Does anyone know anything about the pricing and/or effectiveness of the Owens Corning Basement Finishing stuff?

We are considering duplexing our flat into part of the basement, and are looking at our options.

It is nice but very expensive. I had them over my place. My sales guy was no too pushy but I have read others who had not so good experiences. This site is very good, http://draginol.joeuser.com/articlecomments.asp?c=1&AID=102&s=1&u=0

I have a large basement (1800 sq) and just to do the walls would have cost like $15000 or more, no doors, no ceiling, carpets, or electrical.

I have seen it up close at the local fair, it's not bad stuff but I think it's not worth the price. They will try to scare you with mold issues and will not talk to you unless your wife is around. I hate that tactic. they spoke with me without my wife but then wanted a second meeting before giving me a "real" quote.

If you get it finished the tradional way, just use greenboard drywall that's more moisture resistant and you'll pay less than 1/2 of what you woud pay for the Owens System. Think of all the extra toys you could buy :)
