Don't leave the diaper changing stuff in the car when it gets below freezing. Little bums don't like frozen wipes, and they're really hard to seperate from the stack.
Thankfully there was warm water, but man, what a hassle!

Actually that is a pretty good tip/reminder. I usually leave a diaper bag in the bubby-mobile. Guess I am going to have to get in the habit of taking it in and out with the kid.

The night before our Thanksgiving-week road trip, I packed everything in the car, including the diaper rash cream. The morning we were leaving we decided we had better throw some A&D on his ass before the 6 hours drive. So I brought the cream in from the car and it was so firmed up from the cold that you couldn't even squeeze it out. So my dumb-ass decided to microwave the tube of A&D, not thinking that there is some kind of a metal liner in there. ZAP! I was standing so close to the microwave when it started zapping that I could taste metal in my mouth. I wonder if it had something to do with the filling in my teeth!

well guy's, the microwave is a good fix for the wipes (10 secs at a time) speaking from experience, not to worry about that metal tube in the nuker, the mythbusters have been there done that one (don't microwave eggs in there shells though) and metal just makes cool sparks and sound but doesn't damage the microwave or kill anyone.
If you know your gonna be out in the cold for a long period of time get some of those hand warmers that you can get in the MENS section of walmart or kmart they are pretty cheap and all ya do is "pop" a couple of them and toss them in with diaper stuff, the kids really like a nice warm diaper on a cold day at the park of a day of surf fishing on a brisk day!

The wipes are a major pain to seperate when it's not cold. I can't imagine when they start freezing together.

Same could be said for the summer also. Wipes tend to dry out very quickly in a 110 degree car.

I keep a wipe container next to the changing area, last thing we do, check pants, put on coats/boots, grab the wipes. The one in the truck goes up by the warm air vent, for the duration of the outing.

I used to have that frozen wipes problem a lot too, until we started keeping our epi-pen for kids' allergies in the diaper bag. They say replace them if they go below freezing, took paying for new ones for me to remember not to do that anymore.
