Darth (and other smart guys) -

All that talk about audio files and creating those videos with songs is good timing. I've always had problems with audio files, well in other words, I have no idea what I'm doing.

I like to create those videos (that Don was talking about), complete with songs, etc.. Well the software I'm using for this (Roxio Photosuite 7) will only let me use MP3, WMA, and WAV files. The handful of videos I've created I think I've just gotten lucky to create audio files for them. Now I'm really struggling.

I have all these songs on the Ipod, but I can't figure out how to use them. I've also bought a lot from Itunes Store and I can't seem to get those to wrok either (it seems they are mp4?).

What is the best way to create files in the formats I've listed above? I have all these damn programs that either came with my camcorder (Nero something) or that I bought for these slideshows (Roxio Easy Media Creator), something should work!

And how do I utilize my tunes on Ipod for creating these musical slideshow? I understand these are already mp3 format but when I click on My Documents/My Music/Itunes, I see folders but certainly not for all the music I have.

Would someone please give me a tutorial on audio files! Thanks!

In regards to the Media you purchased from iTunes. i.e. m4p. The simplest way to use the audio for anything you want is to burn them to an audio CD using iTunes, then Import them into your Library from the Audio CD, then you can either import them as m4a ( non DRM ) or as a MP3. As for the iTunes Videos these are not yet easily converted to a format you can use. I'm sure someone will come up with something or some software, I havn't yet found anything for that yet myself.
Hope this helps

When ripping all my music I made sure to use the MP3 format. This way I can use it with my iTunes and WINDOH'S progams that I have. Burning an audio CD using the MP4 and then RIPPING them back as MP3 is a good work around.
With your iTunes make sure you go in and change your preferances to convert to MP3 because it defaults at the Apple Format. Apple and Windows formats do not like each other. Since you are using the Roxio program I would guess it does not like the Apple Format.

OK, I'm not exactly sure I'm seeing this. I'm under preferences - advanced - importing, there is a box for "import using", the options are encoders (ACC, AIFF, Apple lossless, Mp3, and WAV). Is this what you're referring to? Right now I have ACC Encoder selected.

Yes It Is.

The ACC is the Default. ACC files will not work with WinDOHs... Amd many of the programs on PC's rely on either MP3 or WMA...
