Hello, I am a Student at CCC&TI in Hudson, NC and am doing research on trends that have continued to grow over the years, and I chose stay at home fathers. First, I would like to commend all of you, I was a stay at home mother of two girls(3 and 1) and that was the hardest thing I have ever done, but it had its wonderful moments. The questiom I would like to ask is, How have you noticed society has supported saty at home dads. I have seen diaper changing stations in the mens public restroom, what are some other changes that you have noticed. Thanks!!! :D

Good luck on the research.

Wish I could help you more, but I've only been doing this for a couple of months.

I do believe that once the average woman's pay becomes closer to the average man's pay, that more men will become sahds. Once this happens I believe that attitudes towards us will change for the better.

Sorry couldn't help more.

Can't say as I've seen much out there in the way of positive support. Most everything having to do with parenting, especially SAH parenting usually gears towards women. Attitudes have changed slightly. For example, I also have a daycare kid I watch to pick up some extra $. His parents don't think it strange that a man is watching their kid.

Oh I just got a night job a few nights a week and my boss who was a SAHM seemed very willing to work around my schedule. That's something positive, although it might be that she was a SAH parent.

Not sure diaper changing stations are really designed to help SAHD's. More like dad's in general. Now if you're talking support for DIG then I'd say there are some changes.
