CDs on my semi-old Denon home player skip often, and it seems to be especially on the early tracks. I've cleaned all the parts that I can see. They don't regularly skip on the same tracks in the car or elsewhere. I'd guess that half of my CDs skip at some point or another on this player.
Is there a fix to this problem, or is it irrepairable? Thanks.

I have a special CD that has brush to clean the lens you might want to try that. You could take it in for service but a new player might be less money.

Yeap... MP3 Player... :p
I have noticed a few of my older (low quality) stereo stuff and VCR's have started to fall apart. I also noticed that the CD's I bought recently were skipping more then the older ones... Hmmm
Trying to repair anything now with the terms...CD, DVD, VCR would probably cost more to drive it to get service then replace it...

Thanks, I'll look into the Cd w/brush and then chuck it if that doesn't seem workable.
