a few nights ago the kitchen sink got stopped up, and since the move we don't have a plunger, I didn't feel like going out and getting one so I was lookin around the house for something that would work, I eventually tried a tupperware lid, the corrugated type that go on the bowls, and it got enough of a seal and had enough flex in the center to clear the stop. So fastforward to yesterday, Jilly has decided that she can wipe herself after she goes potty, which is great except she uses damn near a whole roll of toilet paper. So I walk in the bathroom at 9 a.m., go to the restroom, flush and it overflows, evidently the tp she used started to go down, as you couldn't see it, but got caught somewhere. I was just gonna wait til the wife got home and run out to get a plunger, then nature called and I realized I couldn't wait  so I figured wth and tried the tupperware lid again, and it worked again  so if you ever find yourself with a clogged drain and no plunger, reach for the tupperware

Ewww! Good tip though!

You need to come up with a much more complex solution though - one involving pressure washer and/or air compressors. :)

Alex is doing the same thing, so now I leave 4 servings of appropriate length paper on a roll, and the main roll is up out of reach, so now when she starts taking it, just enough. problem solved, for now.

My son is a clogger too. I have finally got him to perform a courtesy flush prior to using the paper. They grow so fast.

My FIL showed me a trick for the sink. If you have a garabage disposal. We had a sink that would always get clogged past the Disposal. We would fill the disposal side up with water just enought to cover the bottom of the sink. plug both sides of the sink and there would be enough water pressure in there to clear the lines.
