I just received a nice email from a visitor to our site and they indicated that Dadstayshome was in Parents magazine. I do not have a subscription so I did not see it. Does anyone get a subscription or have the issue with a link to our site?

Yeah, we've got it, I'll go look through it again. (At least, I think its Parents)

Here ya go, from page 54, their "dads" column. (Funny reading through a magazine entitled "Parents" and only finding one page focused for the dad...)

If I've not properly documented right to this reproduced image... report me.

Hey that is way cool!

I get Parenting magazine not Parent's Magazine.

I know a guy named Adam Mclean that owns the Nashville Sun and has recently expanded and owns several other newspapers and E-Zines, mostly in the South. He sometimes posts articles for me, like he posted my press release for my book. Anyway, maybe we can get him to put something in his papers about this site.

tt3, thanks for the scanned column, though you are breaking copyright laws, I won't tell if don't! :D

Maybe traffic will get better and this forum more active.

I think you are fine as long as you aren't making money directly from it and claiming it is yours.

Check this (http://www.cabinlife.com/cgi-bin/articles/csvread.pl?ID=AM03-07) and this (http://www.cabinlife.com/cgi-bin/articles/csvread.pl?ID=AS03-08) out, they really are mine! The full text versions soon to be a part of my "profesional" page. The publishers did give me permission to reproduce only the full page, kinda blows since its such a huge image...
ok, way off topic, but I thought I'd share.

Tell ya what, I'm kind of a mercenary writer, if that makes sense. I got into the field (if you can even say I'm in the field) because my cousin was an editor with the magazine as it started up. They needed a story for their "wild things" column in two weeks, and I delivered. The previous writer used "steaming piles of dung" in his article. Seriously, the mag is for people who own second homes, they don't wanna hear about sh@# piles, ya know?
He left, a year passed, and I met another editor from the same mag while working at the aquarium. His son wanted to volunteer with us, and he contacted me via email from his work address. I wrote back saying "too funny, I wrote for you guys in your second issue!", a month later, he asked me to write again...
Its kinda fun to have a magazine ask again and again to write for them!
(Dang, I'm long winded tonight, sorry all  )
After making a short story long, Remington, whatcha need?
I'll check out the site (again ;) )
cheers

I don't want to advertise on this site so shoot me an email at steve@mainehuntingtoday.com and I can tell you briefly about the stuff we look for. 8)

Try not to put your email address in the forum, damn spiders might get ya!

Your guys are really getting some good use out of the forum! Glad to see it!

Who know's maybe one day we can all put our skills to work and make a little extra cash online! I have good ideas and have the websiet building expertise but my grammar sucks, now you two have the grammar thing down and the html skills.

tt3, if you want to write some stuff for the site, just put it up on your site and I'll link to it.

My wife has a subscription, though I can't say I read it much. The one thing that really annoys me about magazines such as this (there's another "parenting" magazine out there as well) is the focus on Moms. There is painfully little content there for Dads and even the general information has some female spin on it that just irks me.

I understand that completely. Its kind of the same facination for me reading it as paging through Val's Glamour magazines, interesting insight as to how the other side thinks
