Wow, good luck with that, and congratulations. I'd say take pictures, but I think you'll be a bit busy!
Very cool, very cool

I just got word that my mother will meet me there and she will take the kids for a bit so I don't think it is gonna be that bad.

My mom can get overwhelmed with just one kid for 20 minutes so we will see how this pans out. That is usually the time they take naps so maybe things will work out for the better.

BTW, if anybody wants a signed copy I will see how many books are left over after the signing. I know we won't have any hard covers but we may have a few paperbacks. I am not sure yet how much they will be - I will have to find out the cost of this batch. I will see if I can go cheaper than amazon.com but I will have to do some figuring while I am there. :D

You would not believe the turn out. We sold all of our books in 2 1/2 hours. Unreal! It went real well and even talked to a guy that is a stay at home dad and I gave him the link to this site... :D

Anyway, I am ordering another package of paperbacks. I will sign them and ship them out to whoever wants one. I will charge $15 and free shipping. But, let me wait till the books to arrive in a couple weeks first before I get any addresses.

:D

Cool! Glad to hear it went so well! How were your kids?

Oh the kids were well behaved. I was so impressed with them that when it was over I gave them a big daddy hug and thanked them for being such well behaved children.

My 11 month old daughter won the cutest baby award at the carnival across town. There were only 20 babies there but I still like to brag. My mother took the kids over for about an hour or so and my daughter got a ribbon for her cuteness! :D

Must have gotten her looks from her mother.

We just got asked to do a book signing back in the town I grew up in on the 17th of July. There will be hundreds of people there on that day. It is like a little festival they have every year. There is a parade and fireworks and we will be set up right in the middle of everything. We are having the town advertise as local authors....

I am gonna order some books soon.... :D

Hey this is a good chance for you to promote the site, You could put up some sort of advertisement on your table. And I am still interested in getting one of your signed books. Let me know when you get copies to send to us.

I wasn't prepared the last signing to promote this site but I did talk to another SAHD in the area and I told him about this site. I haven't seen him on here yet but hopefully they will stop by and say hi. :D

I am thinking of making up some business cards for it.

Couldnt you just make a little poster board and set it on your table. Just put the url on there. dadsstayhome.com

I would think that most people could remember that website address that would have some interest in this forum.

That might be a better idea.

The only draw back I see is that a lot of people interested in the book are older people. I am not sure why but the books is a magnet for people that are over 50 or retired. And I don't know any stay at home dads that are that old.

I remember selling a couple books to soldiers that were headed back to Iraq. I told them to bring the book along and show it to their buddies. And they said that they would. I hope they do.

OK I am ordering books next week. I need to get a better idea how many to get. I can sign them for anybody.

If you are interested please send me a PM or an email at steve [at] mainehuntingtoday [dot] com and let me know if you are interested in paperback ($15) or hardcover ($25). I can give you all free shipping.

Thanks!
