Hey Bob,
Welcome to the site. I am moving to Richmond VA later this month. Maybe a bunch of guys here can organize a regional get together down the road. Enjoy the site.

Already been to 2 Nationals games....it was a pleasure seeing a ball-game again since being in purgatory in New Mexico via Minneapolis.... my record 1-1

It'd be nice to meet up at a ball game in D.C. I've never been to a "pro" game, and the boys would probably love it.

I'm a little north of you. About 30 minutes northeast of Baltimore.

Hopefully I have'nt ostracized myself with all my wacky right wing posting  , but it would be nice to meet some other dudes doing the same daily grind as me in real life.
I would lean towards the zoo visit thinking about having all 3 boys (17mo old being 17mos). The oldest 4 & 6 would love a MLB game, but the little one would'nt sit still come to think of it. Is late June an option for anyone?

I'm available w/ the kids 5 1/2 and 4 any weekday just as long if its not 90+ out lol too much for us. There are a couple playgrounds at the zoo would be an ideal spot to meet-up our kids love going to the zoo and me pushing them up the entire HUGE hill. I rent a stroller there for $4 FONZ member rate. Since we do not own one for @ 2 years now. I usually park at the bottom of the zoo parking lot D? Walk up the HUGE HILL and coast down....

I also live near DC and would love to get together. I'm around Mon, Tue, Fri. My daughter is not quite old enough to do much, but she loves to get out of the house.
There seem to be enough of us that we could do a big get together in the area at some point....

With all this talk of Dadstock, I think there are plenty of us in the greater Washington DC area that we should get together at some point this summer. I was thinking of a weekend camping trip to Shenandoah National Park. Maybe I'm just crazy. Any other ideas?

heck I'd drag the boy down there for a weekend of camping! A day trip is to much traveling for us to come down there we would have to spend a night, but camping is right up our ally!chugchug:

I was thinking Prince William Forest Park as it is right off of 95 just south of DC. I used to work there for a couple of summers and built 20 of the newer fire pits at the camp ground.

if we can get a location a little more north of DC, then all the NJ/Conn/Pa/NY guys could easily drive.I know Patrickz said Hershey, PA was like 3 hours from him, that's 4.5 hours from me.
I was thinking we should look into some sort of resort or a vacation rental. This way those who do not camp might want to come. I'm not anti-camping but I enjoy the creature comforts of cottages/cabins/homes :)

hey you know Hersey park has a campground with cabins, nice place, only problem is it's right between the park and the railroad tracks, trains all night and day, kids love it but a little tuff to sleep untill you get used to it.

Yeah, I stopped by that camp. I would really be interested in the Poconos. Lots of vacation rentals and resorts. A few family friendly places.
