Jilly and I are supposed to go camping this weekend, so while driving I started talking to her about the things we needed, I said things like "cooler" and "flashlights" while she said things like "ice cream" and "sour cream" (she loves sour cream), so then she says "we need a telescope so we can look at the stars", and I said "ya, great idea, maybe your aunt has one we can borrow" and I thought to myself, "now why didn't I think of that, that is really a great idea, what a smart kid I have?". And yet I never wondered how she thought up a telescope, or where it came from, then remarking to my wife about Jilly's wonderful telescope idea, I learned while I was away this past weekend the Little Einsteins went camping and had a telescope #-o

Cool. Check out the campground for activities, they might be doing a group activity like that, you never know. Where we just went camping they did exactly that down at the beach at night. Wish we could have done it, kind of lame just one of going down there alone while the other stayed back with the sleeping toddler. Next time... Anyway, look into it when you get there.

no activities at the campground we are going to, it's a very small state forest that is all primitive camping, no frills, except they do rent boats. I always liked the place as the tourist campers don't know where it is, and it's quiet. But we did get the telescope yesterday. the mil had one in her barn, so I've been trying to get through the dust and grime that have built up on it and figure out what goes where. It's not a super expensive one, but hopefully it'll be a good starter. I think the wife is startin to wish she didn't have the "no camping" rule, ya she will not go camping, and with the telescope and I mentioned I was gonna try and get Jilly on a horse at a local trail ride place, I think she's just a bit jealous ;)
