I'm not a new stay at home dad but new to the board. I have a 5 yr. old son and a 21 month girl.
I live in the upstate of S.C.
I first came home after my son was born in '99. I worked full time and was also a full time student persuing a B.S. degree. My work hours were about to change and would not allow me to attend classes so my wife suggested that I stay at home. It worked out great as I was able to obtain my degree in 3 years. At 2.5, we decided that it was time for my son to attend a pre-school and I went back to work, in my degree field.
A little over a year later our little girl was born and I left a job that I wasn't in love with to stay home with her.
Today she is 21 months and my son attends K-4 and all is well.. :D
