It's been a few weeks coming, but she lost her first tooth just minutes ago!

One VERY excited little girl!

Her birthday party is tomorrow, so we are postponing the Tooth Fairy visit so she can show everybody.

Now...getting her to fall asleep anytime soon? I really don't see that happening anytime soon...

She's pretty much bouncer on her bed.

I think I even teared-up there for a moment....*sniff*....

What's the going rate among tooth fairies these days? I'm guessing a quarter doesn't cut it anymore?

A euro, they are worth more, or maybe some gold dust.

Better not blink too much. Before you know it you will be bouncing grandkids on your knee. ;)

$5 is the going rate here for teeth. Maybe $10 if Nanny is visiting.

I'm glad to see that $5 is not such a crazy figure. People around here thought I was crazy when Zoe got five bucks for a tooth.

We also found a really cool certificate to give her also. It's signed by Flossie the Tooth Fairy.

$5, you guys are crazy  I think we slipped a buck under the pillow for each tooth.

I can't see more than a buck either!
Hell, I already had to pay out for L's, since she had to have it taken out.

Man, our kids are growing up!

This thread reminds me of the absolute devastation my brother suffered upon awaking one morning to find that the tooth fairy had forgotten to come. He was paid double the next night, but the seeds of doubt had been planted.

I suppose we'll be getting close to tooth fairy time around here soon as well.

Instead of money I think the tooth fairy is going to leave a big, cool, scary shark's tooth instead.

Seriously.

After the ok from the wife of course. =;

Hmm...

Maybe we'll start a necklace that they can add all of their shark's teeth to as they get older after the tooth fairy from the sea makes it's visits.

Throw some sand and random little sea shells in their bed each time for effect.

This tooth is MIA....

It's also a teeny-tiny little thing, possibly somewhere in the house. The dog might have ate it...dunno.

Point is - it's gone! Lost! Without Fairy! Dollar-less!

She had to go and play with it .

It was secured in a Zip-loc bag for all to see, but she had to take it out to play with it and poof !.....

Can't say I blame her. This had to be absolutely fascinating to her.

She's totally forgotten about the tooth and is waist-deep in toys from her birthday party...

Timing was good!

When my soon to be 5yo went to the dentist a few months back, he mentioned 1 tooth was a bit loose. I mean it hardly moves. But since then, she has been excited in anticipation of it falling out. At least it helped encourage eating corn-on-the cob.
And I think the reimbursement rate won't be more than $1.

We found the tooth! Yay!

We're expecting a little fairy magic tonight! Woo-hoo!

(And....we're going with $1 per tooth).

Gosh-darn-it!

Ummm...the Fairy sent us a couple of interns in her place and they can't find the freaking tooth...! Something about too many pillows on the bed! Small tooth, big bed! Excuses! Excuses!

They're on the horn now to HQ for further instructions. Freaking nubes! ;)

So did you find it???

I was thinking that one of the gold dollar coins would be pretty cool to get from the tooth fairy.

I can't believe no one has made a feference to this song yet.

Great kids music from a guy that sounds alot like James Taylor.

My apologies if the link doesn't work. I'm not real good at that stuff.

My son lost his first tooth a few days ago, so this thread helped us figure out the going rate... 3 bucks for him.

First school - then a tooth - next a moustache

Another addition to the un-official lost tooth thread:

My youngest (she'll be 5 next month) lost her first tooth today. That's 1 gold dollar for her.
My oldest has a loose top tooth. I am looking forward to that cute toothless grin.
Nothing yet for my son. He seems to do everything in his own time.

Daughter lost her second tooth yesterday. First one was about a month ago.
