Chuck & I were tossing around the possibilities of a visit to Great Adventure next week. Possibly Monday or Tuesday - weather permitting. Who know's? Veer heer all da veek....

This is our last hurrah! School starts the week after that and both of us are looking for jobs - boo!

We've been working on this for the last couple of weeks and it looks like time's run out! So we're going!

Chuck's got passes he'll get ya in for free or close to it if ya ask him nice.;) Getting in is cheap. Surviving in there is expensive! ;)

ya we are gonna try again! I've got a coupon to get some one in for $10 I can get two in per day. Coke has a promo going as well not sure of the details. We usually go for the opening at 10am hang until mid afternoon (by than the kids are done walking). Possibly on Thursday I will be taking the kid and wife to Hershey Park as I won 4 free tickets thru cub scouts (yes volunteering has its advantages) so if anyone is going to be out that way let me know, we are not set solid on the date yet. And I may have one extra ticket unless my wife has something in mind I dont know about (very possible)..

We did the Popcorn Zoo today. Cute! Been there before.

Wanted to adopt this really cool pooch. Someone bashed one side of his head in. Looked like a shovel print. The half that worked was so cool. Nice dog. Gentle. Friendly. Fook, the godless bastard that molested him!

I wonder sometimes why they keep the animals in the cages......:(

Does it HAVE to be Monday?....

Went away for the weekend. Just a little wiped at this point.

I'll probably feel better after a good night's rest.

Weather looks too good to pass-up and hopefully we can get a jump on the tourists...

So....see ya 9-ish?

So we're 1/2 way to the freaking fun park, & Chuck remembers that he forgot the coupons! OK - whatever!

Utilize Mr. Chuck's parking pass - save $10 on parking. Yay! :supz:

We get to the ticket booth and DOH! prices have gone up! $64 for me, $30 for the kid!?

Mr. Chuck speaks a few well chosen words to the ticket agent and POOF! That will be 9.99 for each of you. :prayer:

It would be at this point that I no longer consider asking Chuck to split gas money! ;)

Weather was awesome. NO lines for most of the day. We covered a lot of territory. Got a lot of rides in! Some new one's too! Just made the 44" mark and a whole new level of rides opened up for my daughter. 1st big coaster today - who-hoo!

Kids got along great - 6 and almost 10 years old. Rob's a gentleman and took his new 'little sister' on some rides, leaving time for us Dads to relax for a bit.

Dolphin show. The Wii pavilion. Wiggles World (blah!). And $40 in food trying to keep this little, picky eater from starving to death and hydrated and (in the summer heat at the fun park) alive. (Forgive the running prepositions...please).

And then there's the $4 bottles of water  . $9 beers! (No sales) Even Robbie thought $7 for an ice cream cone was just, plain, wrong....and moved on ice-cream-cone-less :(.

And - on the way home - Mr. Chuck shows us new short-cuts thru town, landmarks, best produce stands, and abandoned nuclear missle silos, and gives a minor history lesson on the region...

This man is a minor diety and should furthermore be referred to as such!

Thanks for a great day out! chugchug:

Does Trixie's let ya take a boat out for a bit? Crabbing ain't in the cards. But putting about in a little motorboat in the bay would be fun for her.

Just wondering...

yes they will rent you the boat for what ever purpose you like, basically as long as they get paid they don't care. Also while your there ask how much Downs is getting (right next door to Trixie's) his boats are a little more well kept and in my opinion safer.

Yes one extra fun day! Me and the kid both in bed by 10pm last night:shock: I do miss having a little girl around, they are so much different than having a little boy! Totally different look on things and totally demanding in other ways! Heck with a little smile she even got to ride on my shoulders after having worn out daddys.;)
But I've got to tell ya the "Pasta Crane" was my favorite ride all day laughing, the things we will do to get our kids to eat, my god I wish I had a video camera around for that, it would have been some serious U-Tube material!
Jeff's little lady is a brave one! We took her on a major wood coaster, a old one the kind that shacks your innards up real good, she handled it very well! Over all a great day! Thanks!

Tickets for 9.99...How in the world did you guys manage that one? But WTF $64 for adults...GEEZ...

I haven't been down that way in 8 years. You guys might laugh a little when I admit this:

The Best Man for my wedding was trying to come up with ideas for a bachelor party but couldn't decide on what to do...So he figured he'd rent a van with a driver and we'd head down to Six Flags...So he told this to the Maid of Honor and she wanted to come along!!

So yes, we had a joint bachelor/bachelorette party..For the sole purpose for going on all the upside down roller coasters that my wife and I never went on..Boy the first ride we went on was the batman and robin...What a thrill...I have to get down there again... Sorry for traveling a little off topic...

Glad everyone had a good time even with bending over for the food....

the "Pasta Crane" was my favorite ride all day laughing

Ahh! Yes....the Pasta Crane. chugchug:

You just had to be there....I started it with the Pasta Crane - trying to get the kid to eat something. Then Robbie blew soda out his nose laughing so hard! Audrey saw Robbie blowing soda out his nose and she laughed harder. Robbie saw her laughing harder and he laughed harder. She saw him laughing harder and she laughed harder. Chuck & I are laughing the whole time at this spectacle. Meanwhile, I got about 1/2 pound of pasta into the kid's belly.

Probably the best 45 minutes of my life so far.....Just stupid crazy kid fun. Giggles and screams.

I'll have to do a You-Tube demo on the Pasta-Crane for all the picky eater kid's parents out there.

We went to bed late but woke-up late today - 9:30am! Oh! Baby!
