When I go into outlook express and hit send/recieve an error message comes up saying the following "your server has unexpectly terminated the connection".

I am going to guess that you changed your ISP when you went to DSL. Your new ISP is AT&T. Who was your old ISP? What are your incoming and outgoing email servers? (POP3 and SMTP servers)

Assuming you still have your old email account (it wasn't part of your old dial up account, which would have been turned off when you canceled it) you'll need to at least change your outgoing email account settings to use your new DSL account's username, password and server name to send email. Most companies servers will not let you log in to a remote mail server to send emails. You may be able to leave the incoming mail settings the same.
If you're going to be canceling your old service and your existing e-mail account is tied to that you'd be better off just setting up the new mail account you got when you subscribed to DSL and telling everyone your new address however.
Let me know if you want more details, I send and receive emails from about 23 accounts on six different mail servers so have set email clients up to do this several times. :)

Had to reset the server timeout and reformat the Outlook Express settings.
